As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

TEAMWORK TUESDAY
Being part of a team is great when everyone on the team has the same goal in mind. Tuesday is my day to work with a team of senior citizens who are not ready to be old. That being said, … Continue reading
WEDNESDAY WISDOM
I guess you could say I was a child that grew up on “screen time.” My screen was an 8″ black and white TV, upon which I spent Saturday mornings wallowing in Looney Toons cartoons. I would then spend the … Continue reading
SILENT, BUT DEADLY
I am part of the “Silent Generation” or more commonly known as a Traditionalist – or those born from 1923-1945. We all have our pluses and minuses, but many of us old timers seem to think that the Newbies are … Continue reading
LIFE STORMS
We’ve been in a short duration of what is to come in Minnesota. Storms pop up suddenly and often without warning. The skies can be brilliant blue with a faint whisper of clouds and immediately become filled with darkness and … Continue reading
COUNTING YOUR STEPS
No, I don’t have a Fitbit, but I recently discovered that I can see how many steps I take by going to an app on my phone. The first day, I felt really hopeless when only 250 steps showed up … Continue reading
WISDOM IN AGING
I’ve witnessed the birth of new life – watching as those precious, little lungs take their first breath. I’ve experienced holding my own breath as my little ones grew into adults. I’ve observed each step of their development with anticipation, … Continue reading
TRAVELING WHEN RETIRED
Retire, they said. It will be fun, they said. You are free to go anywhere, do anything and scratch things off your bucket list, they say. Who are “they” and I’ll bet they’re not retired? Traveling today isn’t easy, no … Continue reading
EARLY MORNING LIGHT
As the morning light arises, on a pasture green sublime, Sun light kisses trees and branches, balancing the sands of time, Though through danger I will wander, snares are set at every turn, God is there to guard my footsteps, leading me to … Continue reading
WRINKLES ARE JUST UNPRESSED PLEATS
Each day seems to etch a new line onto my face. With all the junk going on in the world it’s enough to make one look like a prune. Actually, a prune was once a flawless plum with tight, shiny … Continue reading
RAINY DAYS & MONDAYS
“Be still, sad heart! and cease repining;Behind the clouds is the sun still shining;Thy fate is the common fate of all,Into each life some rain must fall”― Henry Wadsworth Longfellow As a child I used to think of rainy days … Continue reading
THE TRUE MIRACLE WORKER
Job suffered greatly, all in a matter of a few days. He lost all his wealth, his belongings, his house, livestock and land. He even lost his children. With each passing moment he watched as those things were swept away … Continue reading
WHAT TIME IS IT?
Well, here we go again. Slaves to the guy who switches out the clocks twice a year. It seems we’ve been hearing about this time change to daylight savings for days now. The hype is exactly that – hype. I’ve … Continue reading
SPRING BREAK 2022
The calendar reads March 9th, but there is still a foot of snow on the ground, the temperature is hovering around 14 degrees, the sun is shining and for many young people it is a week designated for celebrating the … Continue reading
I’M A THEATRE JUNKIE
I think it began when I was three. Mother enrolled me in ballet, tap, jazz and baton lessons – thinking I would someday become the next Shirley Temple. I learned to step, shuffle, ball and change before I knew my … Continue reading
WHAT’S NEXT?
This world of ours – it’s a mixture of cultures, filled with different races, consumed with material things, longing for success, desirous of power and filled with greed. When all those things combine, there can be chaos. When it looks … Continue reading
IS THERE SUCH A THING AS GOOD GRIEF?
We know that grief is a very common emotion among us humans, yet when we’re experiencing it, there is nothing anyone can say or do to keep the tears from falling – the heart from longing – the mind from … Continue reading
DOWNWARD SPIRAL
“I wonder if I’ve been changed in the night. Let me think. Was I the same when I got up this morning? I almost think I can remember feeling a little different. But if I’m not the same, the next … Continue reading
OUT OF THE MOUTHS OF BABES
My husband is back in the hospital again. I needed a pick me up so turned to one of my old posts. Sometimes we just need to laugh in spite of our circumstances. God gives us a sense of humor … Continue reading
DON’T GIVE UP
God gives us some good advice in James 1:3 & 4. He tells us to hang in there – to hold on to our beliefs – to trust in His wisdom. It isn’t always easy to do that, especially when … Continue reading
