As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

SURE SIGNS OF SPRING
Winter simply wants to hang on this year. We’re blessed to have help shoveling our way out. It’s not a pretty sight seeing to octogenarians outside in below zero weather, trying to push snow around. In my part of the … Continue reading
REMNANTS OF A SNOW ANGEL
We have certainly had our share of snow up here in the frozen Tundra of Minnesota. I used to love playing in the snow as a child. We’d build gigantic snow forts and load them up with fresh snowballs for … Continue reading

FIRST SNOW – A COLLAGE
This year has been filled with surprise after surprise. I believe 2022 will go down in history as one we’d love to forget. This morning the sky opened up and gently expelled flakes of white upon an already colorful blanket … Continue reading
EXPLOSION OF THE SENSES
Autumn is one of my favorite seasons. Not only are our eyes exposed to a feast of brilliant colors, but the sounds change too. We hear geese migrating in search of warmer climates and honking all the way. There are … Continue reading

SERENDIPITOUS SUNDAY
One day the world is fresh and green and just like that it’ fades unseen, Like chaffs of grain or husks of corn, they pass from life, we grieve, we mourn, The wind will sweep them far and wide, they … Continue reading
SUMMER – ENDINGS & NEW BEGINNINGS
The smells of summer still hang in the air. The potent fragrance of fertile soil. The aroma of a bonfire after dark to whisk away the mosquitoes. The blooming roses cast their lovely scent as they cling to life, knowing … Continue reading

ON THE WATERFRONT
Reflections of a summer day, the range of many hues, The gentle breeze on mirrored lakes, the reds, yellows and blues, The sailboats take their daily cruise, the colors quickly change, While God remains in heavenly skies, the seasons to … Continue reading
SUMMER PERCEPTIONS
The earth rotates as God first set it in the sky, The winds are His, He controls whether we live or die, He carves the trees into skeletal versions of themselves, He releases His rain on parched grass and plantings, … Continue reading
SATURDAY SAILING
Spring has sprung and summer in the midwest is bound to be tomorrow. We’ve been having a pretty good entrance into the season we all look forward to in Minnesota. I recall summers on the lake and sailing regattas on … Continue reading

FURROWED FIELDS
A November sky, displaying clouds filled with dust particles shining like diamonds, The perfect ceiling, suspended in space over a furrowed field of forgotten gleanings. Deep ruts in the earth, carved by a machine driven by a farmer – a … Continue reading

AUTUMN PURGE
Actually I’m crazy about this time of year. At least I can breathe again for a week or two. The air is crisp and fresh and mold spores haven’t yet taken hold. Unlike Maxine, I enjoy a blanket of leaves … Continue reading
