As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

MY SEWING MACHINE

GET OUT OF THE BLACK CLOUDS
Today I went to the doctor to have my knee X-rayed. I should be delighted that it is nothing more than a sprain. The doc mentioned that my knee was practically arthritis free, there were no breaks and it was … Continue reading
TEARS, LAUGHTER & MEMORIES
Our lives are filled with many emotions, but the main three are tears, smiles and memories. We cry and the tears ultimately dry. We laugh and the smiles eventually fade from view. The memories we create along the way will … Continue reading
SURRENDER
When we think about the word “surrender” we naturally assume a sort of giving up – giving in – acceptance. When the white flag of surrender went up at Yorktown, it signaled the ending of the American Revolution. Almost a … Continue reading

IT’S MONDAY – AGAIN
Mondays are kind of like Ground Hog Day reruns. Every Monday you wake up and it’s the same as it was last week. I guess you could say that for Tuesday, Wednesday and the rest of the days, but Monday … Continue reading
LOONEY TOONS
I remember Saturday mornings being a time of watching cartoons. Occasionally, when there’s nothing on TV, I’ll tune in the Cartoon Network. In fact, on my wedding day, I spent the morning watching cartoons. Maybe it was like saying … Continue reading

ELECTRONIC CHAOS
Every time a computer glitch occurs, I can count on being tied up for at least eight hours. This amazing device, which normally can save hours has the capacity to make a sweet old granny very cranky. This morning I … Continue reading
MONDAY – BRING IT!
Mondays are kind of like the recurring Ground Hog Day movie. We go through life, thinking this is as good as it gets – go to bed and repeat the same from day to day. Mondays have a way of … Continue reading
CRUSHED BUT NOT WITHOUT HOPE

STEREOTYPES
ORIGINALLY POSTED ON ATIMETOSHARE.ME 7/30/14 A stereotype is defined as an over-simplified or standardized conception of a culture, profession or group. How often do we categorize people? For example, everyone knows that cops and donuts go together – right? The Italian people are … Continue reading
THE BATTLE OF THE BULGE
I like the idea of the Swiss Cheese Diet. If nothing else, everything you eat, would fall right out. I’ve spent most of my life on a diet. I didn’t start out fat. I weighed in at 7 pounds 75 years ago. … Continue reading
GOODBYE AUGUST
This was the view out my living room window on this day last year at our old, old house. The air is fresh and crisp today. Skies are clear and brilliant blue. Usually we don’t have much change in color until … Continue reading
