As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

GIVING UP OR GIVING IN?
ART & POETRY BY PAUL & KATHY BOECHER© So deep within the tallest pines, with darkened haze enshrouded, A hidden place encased in webs of silver threads beclouded, Peaceful, quiet, sanctuary, a refuge where you can hide, A place to lick the wounds of hurt … Continue reading

SUNDAY DRIVE . . .
We have been experiencing an amazing spring. The snow has melted. The ground is thirsting for moisture, but we know that God will provide that in time. Yesterday, after church, we decided to take a drive. We do a lot … Continue reading
A WALK ON A DUSTY ROAD
It was time to return home to Emmaus. The walk would take them less than a day. It was about ten miles from Jerusalem, so the trek would give them time to talk about the events of the last few … Continue reading
THE MESSIAH IS HERE- PART 15
When we approach the final days of life, our mind tends to wonder what it was all for. We aren’t the same as we once were. We experience physical pain and have endured emotional loss along the way. Our spiritual … Continue reading
TAKING A BREAK . . .

THE BEAT OF A DIFFERENT DRUMMER . . .
POETRY BY KATHY BOECHER Since it’s Throw Back Thursday, I’ve opted for a rerun. The beat of a different drummer, the rhythm that forms its song, The ratta-tat-tat of the lonely drum, creating a deafening, mortal, gong, The march of weary, … Continue reading
COMING TO GRIPS . . .
Exactly what does it mean to come to grips? This isn’t a common idiom these days. Instead we might say something like, “get in touch with your feelings,” ”learn to cope,” or “don’t sweat the small stuff.” Since today is National Thesaurus Day, … Continue reading
PEACE BETWEEN GOD & MAN
What is happening in our world today? We certainly don’t see much evidence of peace with wars raging in Ukraine and Israel. We don’t see peace in our own country as we’re still a divided nation in so many ways. Disputes erupt on … Continue reading
THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD

DO WE MATTER?
In these days leading up to Christmas, there are many out there suffering greatly with depression. All the hub-bub of the holidays can often add to that. The world is so focused on not offending others, that we might think that our … Continue reading
OH TANNEBAUM
The beauty of a freshly cut Christmas tree has been a tradition for many years. During the Victorian Era, candles were woven into the branches to be lit on Christmas Eve. Families would dance around the decorated arbor, singing festive songs. There … Continue reading
WHEN PEACE CAME TO EARTH . . .
Today is the second Sunday in Advent. Another candle is lit on the Advent wreath. A sermon about repentance and forgiveness is spoken with passages from the Bible referring to the forerunner of Christ, John the Baptist. This was the … Continue reading
IN SEARCH OF THE LIGHT
Christmas lights are everywhere. In fact, they started to market them way back in August as the end of summer triggered the start of the holiday season. The call for making a buck can be annoying, but Christmas is something … Continue reading

SHOP ‘TIL YOU DROP
Yesterday was my first day of Christmas shopping. I visited Hobby Lobby in hopes of finding some crafts I could make instead of investing in high buck gifts this year. I remembered how I used to make beautifully decorated ornaments … Continue reading

To be “senseless,” is to lack the ability to feel. It can also mean useless, unreasonable or unconscious. For someone in my age bracket, senseless can mean the loss of physical sensations like, hearing, taste, touch, smell or see. All … Continue reading
QUIESCENCE
The word, “quiescence,” is one we don’t use very often. Its meaning refers to a state of dormancy, inactivity, idleness or suspended animation. Going to sleep has never been a problem for me. I can hit the pillow and find … Continue reading
