PICKING UP THE PIECES . . .

ART & POETRY BY PAUL & KATHY BOECHER©

This painting is filled with so much activity and chaos. Our lives are often that way. Out of control and full of clutter. Paul often told a story with his paintings. In this one, we see is a collection of junk which will soon be purchased to restore and turn into a useable treasure. The building is located in one of our northern suburbs – The Round Barn has been converted into a boutique of sorts with many antiques which have been resurrected into something new and filled with beauty. Jesus came to earth to live among us – a population of sinners in need of rebuilding. He gave His life so that our sin would be removed. His unconditional love revives us without expectation of repayment. Sounds too easy, doesn’t it? All God expects in return is our respect, honor, praise, thanksgiving and obedience. Our works mean nothing. That doesn’t mean we have a free pass. Jesus gave us one final commandment before He rose from the dead. Love one another.

A rusted pail, a broken wheel within a vacant field,

A house that once was filled with love, the hands of time has stilled,

These remnants of those days gone by, where bounty once did stand,

Show lives wrapped up in simple things as meaningless as sand,

To let them go is difficult, but go they simply must,

These worldly things are useless if in them we put our trust,

The only constant in our life, is Jesus, Christ our Lord,

We find our peace in knowing Him and basking in His Word,

Our God will give the things we need when in that hope we trust,

But faith is vital to our hope, and talk to Him we must,

Our God knows just what’s right for us, He’ll never let us down,

Just open up your heart in prayer and you’ll receive a crown,

Those remnants all have gone away and new life will begin,

When we let go and heed His voice, new life begins with Him.

THANK YOU, JESUS, FOR ANOTHER DAY!

About atimetoshare.me

As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.
