As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

THE BEAT OF A DIFFERENT DRUMMER . . .

HAPPY CURMUDGEON DAY . . .
The definition of the word, “curmudgeon,” can best be described in pictures rather than words, The Muppet’s grumpy fellows sitting in the balcony come to mind. I also think about Clint Eastwood telling those delinquent kids to get off his lawn. It also … Continue reading

NO ROOM FOR JESUS?
The innkeeper is never mentioned in the Bible, but we can assume there was one since Luke says there was no room at the inn. If this were a theatrical production, we’d call on a minor character to add some dramatic … Continue reading
FEAR & ANGER CAN LEAD TO HATE
I watched a devotion from Time of Grace Ministry this morning that really made sense to me. It was about how grief can easily transfer into fear and fear into anger. We get angry when someone leaves us behind – … Continue reading

SINGING & DANCING IN THE RAIN
For some reason, I’ve become kind of hung up on old barns and beautiful autumn color lately. Maybe it’s because of our special drives this year. Maybe it’s because the character that abounds in those rugged buildings that have seen … Continue reading
THE FAITH TO LET GO
When someone tells you to walk by faith and not by sight, what does that mean? Even though faith is something intangible, it requires action. We can’t see faith – we can’t hear it – it isn’t something we respond … Continue reading
