As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

SING TO THE LORD
I spent weeks at my grandparents’ farm in the summer and am reminded of the crackling sound of the radio whining out some of those ancient spiritual songs of woe. I guess you could call them the blues of the country. Grandma … Continue reading
A CHILL IN THE AIR
Winter has officially arrived in my neck of the woods with the snow filled skies opening on our “new” old house. I love the frosty, fluffy, white stuff as long as I don’t have to go anywhere. The fresh blanket … Continue reading

THE END!
OK it wasn’t the best movie ever, but the title was catchy. The funniest part about “The End,” was when Burt Reynolds tried to make a deal with God – promising to give Him a certain percentage of his income … Continue reading

A TIME FOR EVERYTHING
God’s timing is certainly not the same as ours. Our every day is pigeon holed into to-do lists, work, appointments, vacation time, workouts, meals and other activities. We like things to be organized and well planned – but we often forget that … Continue reading
TROUBLE!
Originally posted on atimetoshare.me 7/06/14 Some folks think that becoming a Christian means gaining complete freedom from all our troubles. Not true! In fact, God never promised any of us a rose garden. Well, He gave us a perfect garden, … Continue reading
TEACH YOUR CHILDREN WELL
Today children often learn more about life from the internet, their peers and the world than thefrom their immediate family. We’ve strayed as a nation from the truths of the Bible and our desires to create the “perfect world” for our children … Continue reading
GOOD SHEPHERD
Yesterday we celebrated Good Shepherd Sunday in our church. The image of Jesus as the shepherd of a wayward flock has always been of great comfort to me. We used the 23rd Psalm as the focus of both of our mothers’ … Continue reading
ROD & REPROOF
Dr. Benjamin Spock, was one a best selling author of the 1960s with his book on childrearing. His ideas were mind blowing to most older parents. He suggested letting a child cry a while before picking them up and holding them. He advocated permissiveness over hard discipline such … Continue reading
ANSWERED PRAYERS
Sometimes it seems like God isn’t listening, even when our prayers are constant. There are days when you don’t know what to pray for, because the world is in such a mess and it doesn’t seem that there’s any hope … Continue reading
A BOTTLE FULL OF TEARS
A while back, I was trying to convince my granddaughter to put her crabby thoughts into a crabby box and forget about them. She laughed at the image and it got her smiling again for the moment. Wouldn’t it be nice if … Continue reading
OUR TIME OF GRACE
When we take our first breath, we begin a time of grace. For nine months we’ve been safely tucked in our mom’s womb, protected by her body and sheltered from the ugliness of the world. When we emerge from the boundaries of … Continue reading
ANGER AND RAGE AND HATE, OH MY!
He tells it like it is and even though he’s not the average politician, he’s followed by those who have held their anger with the government within. They yearn for new leadership without the ties to an overly corrupt body of administrators. … Continue reading

MEMORIES
