As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

According to US Government statistics, the average monetary value of a human life is ten million dollars. If you factor in inflation, you can kick that up another million or two. How do “they” come up with this number? It … Continue reading
IT’S JUST A SENIOR MOMENT ….
The majority of my posts this week have dealt with aging. I’ve tried to interject some humor into the whole thing, but there isn’t really anything funny about growing old. Our bodies have passed the expiration date, our senses have … Continue reading
MEMORY FAIL
The human mind is an amazing organ. It can hold more information than a computer, yet as we age, the data we’ve accumulated causes it to crash and even become useless. The one fear I have about growing old is … Continue reading

My word for the day is “Theatricalizing.” This is what I do. I am a theatricalizer – or a Thespian – a playwright -a performer – an actor – and old to boot. This has been my chosen profession for … Continue reading
CHASING THE WIND?
Do you feel like it’s Groundhog Day, every day? Are you going through the motions of living, without really living? I am stuck at the moment. Life does get in the way of our living from time to time. How … Continue reading
IN THE IMAGE OF GOD

YOU WERE BORN FOR THIS TIME
The Book of Esther does not mention the name of God within its pages, but He is apparent throughout the entire story. It is a story of patience – waiting for God’s will to be accomplished – and faith that … Continue reading
WHERE EVER I GO, HE IS THERE
When answers to questions are hard to find, We struggle within and our minds go blind, We try as we will to figure it out, We fret and we worry, we cry and pout, We try to do what is out … Continue reading
ARE THESE THE GOOD OLD DAYS?
Our country’s short history has seen some amazing accomplishments. When you think about how quickly technology has advanced in just the past 30 years, it’s astounding. Most kids don’t even know what a cassette player is, or the mention of … Continue reading

WHAT IS YOUR PURPOSE?
The old flour mill stands as a fortress, beside the rambling Rum River, An icon, once thriving, once useful – a place where industry grew a small town into a big city, Now inoperative, surrounded by the ruins of yesterday, … Continue reading
IS LIFE MEANINGLESS
Solomon gained much wisdom during his reign as king of Israel, but he often found life meaningless in the scheme of things. He had it all – tried it all – felt enjoyment and pleasure from all of it, but … Continue reading
WHERE LIES YOUR TREASURE?
Almost five years ago, we downsized our house of 24 years and an accumulation of over 50. We painstakingly waded through things that we considered eventual treasures and got rid of many of them. We moved into a renovated … Continue reading
DEATH HAS NO HOLD ON ME
I don’t understand why God allows some of us to go on living for so many years while others are taken at an early age. It’s one of those mysteries that don’t make sense to me. I do know that … Continue reading
