As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

ON THAT SILENT HOLY NIGHT
Only two years ago, prior to the pandemic, we were getting ready for Christmas and awaiting our family from South Carolina and So. Korea to arrive. It was the day of Christmas Eve when I was admitted to the hospital … Continue reading
GOD IS WITH US!
We travel this life talking to, relying on and trusting God, but the thought of actually meeting Him face to face is often inconceivable. God loves us so much that He took on human flesh – went through the trauma of … Continue reading

WHAT IS CHRISTMAS?
Brilliantly colored ornaments hang tight to the Christmas tree, Stockings are hung on a mantel while a roaring fire we see, Packages look so festive in colors of red, gold and green, With ribbons they’re bound, and secrets within, makes … Continue reading
THE WHOLE STORY IS INCONCEIVABLE
I might be the only one who has made this comparison, but the entire Biblical Christmas story reminds me of the word Vizzini kept repeating over and over in “The Princess Bride.” It is more than inconceivable, it’s unbelievable, miraculous … Continue reading
O TANNENBAUM
In the Garden of Eden You planted two trees, with fruit so divine and sweet. One was given for eating, the other not so, but temptation the soul did defeat. Man had fallen from grandeur to deepest despair, He needed redemption within. … Continue reading
CHRISTMAS PAST
Oh what a lovely painting, filled with memories, nostalgia, days gone by and nothing but love. Carolers huddled together singing the songs of the season – warming each other with each verse. A house filled with good food, gifts, a … Continue reading
AN OLD FASHIONED CHRISTMAS
Days of yore may long be gone, but memories linger on, Of Christmases of yesterday, of years that since have gone, My youth no longer dwells in me, though memories stay strong, Of times we spent together with caroling and songs, … Continue reading

‘Twas the month before Christmas and all through the house, The only thing stirring was a cold, little mouse, He thought he’d sneak in while the getting was good, He found a warm corner in the neighborhood, The house it was … Continue reading
WHAT IS THE BEST GIFT?
This time of year often turns into a competition of buying the “best” gift or at least thinking we are. Many beautifully wrapped packages appear beneath the tree, with anticipation running high and hopes building. Unfortunately the focus of this … Continue reading
ANGELS WE HAVE HEARD
What are your first thoughts when you hear the word, “angel?” The word alone has so many connotations. It stirs the mind into thinking of something supernatural – something ethereal – beautiful – terrorizing – fearful yet comforting. My thoughts … Continue reading
AN EARLY CHRISTMAS TALE
‘Twas right before Christmas and in our simple old house,Not a creature was stirring except one small mouse,He wasn’t too big, but the sight made me cringe,A mouse in the house meant he’d surely infringe, So off to the hardware … Continue reading
THE CHRISTMAS CANDLE
This is a rerun of a post I wrote last year at this time, but I feel it deserves a second glance. It’s one of the most inspirational stories I seen lately about the true meaning of Christmas. I discovered … Continue reading
A CHRISTMAS CAROL
I think the reason the story of Scrooge remains such a classic is because we can all relate to it. When the ghost takes him on his journey through time, we see a young boy growing up in the … Continue reading
JOHN, THE BAPTIZER
He must have been quite a sight; this long awaited son of Zechariah and Elizabeth. For years they had prayed for a child, but their prayers went unanswered. Yet when the time was right, God did answer them and gave … Continue reading
