As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

WHAT IS GOD’S WILL FOR MY LIFE?
Surrendering to God’s will is not easy. We can think of a thousand different reasons why we should follow our own heart, think it through and make our own decisions. Do we underestimate God so much, that we think we’re … Continue reading
STORMS A COMIN’
Standing alone in a storm as wind tears through the trees is not only frightening but lacks wisdom. Our bodies grow tense, the adrenaline flows, and all our emotions can explode into crushing fear. The sea rages as waves crash against each other. … Continue reading
FIRST RESPONSE OR LAST RESORT?
Worry seems to be part of our human nature. It’s interesting to me that animals don’t seem to carry that trait, and what a blessing for them. I mean, they have to find a warm place to sleep when it … Continue reading
THE PERFECT PRAYER
Prayer was important to Jesus. He would often escape to a quiet place to talk with His Father. His time was limited, because of the big following He was gaining, but that didn’t stop Him. The disciples saw their rabbi … Continue reading
TALKING TO GOD
I had a cortisone shot yesterday. I’ve been nursing a bad knee and hip since I was released from the hospital in November 2022. I was only allowed a shot in the knee, because I have to make a separate … Continue reading
ENCHANTING LIGHT
ORIGINAL ART & POETRY BY KATHY BOECHER © A light streams through resistant clouds. It brings a glimpse of heaven. As once in darkness bathed in shrouds, it’s filled with hope once given. The light came forth in darkness, so many … Continue reading
PARENTING – GETTING DOWN IN THE TRENCHES
I don’t mean to mislead you by my title today. Raising a family doesn’t mean you’re going to be fighting a never-ending battle with your offspring. It does mean you will be spending your time much differently than you did … Continue reading
GOD’S VOICE CAN BE A WHISPER
How do you hear the voice of God? Is it in the beauty of His creation? Is it found in relationships or in the good deeds that we do? Is it a loud thunderous sound coming from the heavens, or … Continue reading
LIFE CHANGING SEASONS
When fall is in the air, all sorts of thoughts come to mind. The temperatures will soon be turning cold; winter is just around the corner. Leaves are changing color and need to be raked. Apples are ripe for picking … Continue reading
I CAN’T DO THIS ALONE
There are so many times when we try to manage our lives and all the difficulties we face. When we seem unable to find a solution, , we turn to God for help. Maybe we should just do that in … Continue reading
OVERWHELMED
We all have those days when feeling overwhelmed becomes overwhelming. I’m talking about a number of circumstances, but particularly when you’ve been faced with a recurring problem that just doesn’t seem to get better. The frustration comes in not being … Continue reading

Dear Father, God, Thy will be done. Amen!
CHASING THE WIND?
Do you feel like it’s Groundhog Day, every day? Are you going through the motions of living, without really living? I am stuck at the moment. Life does get in the way of our living from time to time. How … Continue reading
WHY PRAY?
I’ve never had too much of a problem writing down my thoughts. I guess this is the way I can express myself without actually speaking the words. As I grow older, the words I speak get garbled or I use … Continue reading
LEAN ON HIM!
When those we love are hurting physically or emotionally, it’s hard to sit back and do nothing. We want to fix things and make them better. Unfortunately, it isn’t always possible for us to do that. We often find it … Continue reading
HOW CAN I PRAY WHEN I’M ANGRY?
Each day comes with a new challenge. We may be staring at danger – hopelessness – fear – anxiety. Our hearts may be filled with anger because of the state of our country. We could be angry by all the … Continue reading
ANOTHER DAY OLDER AND STILL KICKING
When I wrote my memoir several years ago, I was in my 60s and thoughts of retirement were not yet in the picture. They still aren’t. I have survived eight decades and am eagerly moving into the next one. Yesterday … Continue reading
WEDNESDAY WISDOM
Have you checked yours stats lately? How do you rate in the public eye? How many Facebook or Instagram friends do you have? Have we all grown a little crazy about ourselves with social media and blogging? I have to … Continue reading
FROM WORRIER TO WARRIOR
I’d consider myself a worrier. It may have something to do with being a fixer as well. In my growing up years, I felt a responsibility for my baby sister. I took it on myself to tell her what to … Continue reading
