As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

A MAN AFTER GOD’S OWN HEART
Remember the Bible stories about David and his rise to power? As a young teenager, he killed the great giant, Goliath, with a single stone and slingshot. He had many occasions to take the life of King Saul, but knew … Continue reading

WRESTLING WITH GOD
We can learn so much from the Old Testament stories taught in Sunday school. I always had trouble with the one about Jacob wrestling with God. It seemed hard to understand why anyone would want to fight with God when … Continue reading

O.T. LESSON FOR TODAY
We can learn so much from the Old Testament stories we were taught in Sunday school – lessons that can be applied to the inner battles we struggle with every day. I always had trouble comprehending the one about Jacob wrestling … Continue reading

“History isn’t just the story of bad people doing bad things. It’s quite as much a story of people trying to do good things. But somehow, something goes wrong.” C. S. Lewis This weekend, my husband and I enjoyed our local … Continue reading
PAINTING EN PLEIN AIR
I’m married to an artist. He often has to search for a pair of pants that hasn’t been tainted with oil or acrylic paints. Sometimes shirts are as difficult to selvedge. Still, I’m particularly fond of this artist. When he was set … Continue reading

A TIME FOR EVERY PURPOSE
Solomon gained much wisdom during his reign as king of Israel, but he often found life meaningless in the scheme of things. He had it all – tried it all – felt enjoyment and pleasure from all of it, but … Continue reading
ALMOST FINISHED
Peace is a daily, a weekly, a monthly process, gradually changing opinions, slowly eroding old barriers, quietly building new structures. John F. Kennedy True silence is the rest of the mind, and is to the spirit what sleep is to … Continue reading
DO YOU FEEL LIKE A FAILURE?
We all have days that start out with plans to take on the world only to have them dashed the minute we take one step out of bed. Who knew there would be a Lego underfoot? No matter how strong we … Continue reading
RANDOM THOUGHT – GOD’S WILL
One of the hardest things we do in life is surrender to the will of God. We can never be like Him. The separation was made in the Garden of Eden. We can, however, find peace in letting go and … Continue reading
THE STORM OF THE DECADE
Remnants of carved Jack-O-Lanterns hidden by a blanket of snow. Little trick or treaters tucked into their beds as folks pushed shovels to stay ahead of the storm. The blizzard of October 31, 1991 buried Minneapolis in more than 2 feet of fresh … Continue reading
AIRPORT TIME
