As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

THERE’S NOTHING LIKE A HUG
There is nothing in the world like a hug. It’s the only thing you get back the minute you give it away. To be cuddled in someone’s embrace is a wonderful feeling. When we are lonely, when we hurt, when … Continue reading
HE SAVED A WRETCH LIKE ME
One of the things I miss most about not attending church “in person” is singing with my fellow believers in Jesus. This time of year especially is usually filled with songs filled with joy and celebration for the birth of … Continue reading
WHEN ALL ELSE FAILS
In this crazy world of ours, we’re often told to take a chance – to throw caution to the wind and follow our instincts. It’s true that every day is a second chance for most of us. We find ourselves … Continue reading
WORK VS ENTITLEMENT VS GOD’S LOVE
A good work ethic means staying late to finish the work someone else didn’t want to do or didn’t feel he had to do. It means giving up lunch to take care of a customer. It means putting in more … Continue reading
GENERATION REDEEMED
It seems every generation has been tagged with some sort of nickname. For example; the roaring 20s, the dirty 30s, the swinging 60s and the disco 70s. Other terms are also associated with each age; such as the Greatest Generation, … Continue reading
A WOMAN OF CHARACTER
As women who follow the Word of God, we have the power to overcome obstacles unknown. We have a life partner in Jesus, Christ, who with the Father and Holy Spirit, knit us together in our mother’s womb. The … Continue reading
OBEDIENCE
Our last dog lived to be almost 12 years old. When he was a pup of six months, we decided it was time for some obedience training. We enrolled Gage in Puppy Obedience School with high hopes that the commands … Continue reading
LIVES MATTER
I wonder if we can ever love each other as Christ first loved us. Hatred and violence are ugly tools of the devil, which he uses to divide us. We must fight him with every ounce of strength that God … Continue reading
DON’T SWEAT THE SMALL STUFF
There are a ton of little problems we face every day. They may become mind boggling if we let them. For example: A fitted bed sheet that doesn’t fit. Having to pee as soon as you’re snuggled into bed. Trying … Continue reading
DEAR, CHILD OF MINE

PURE LOVE
This is the week of my 55th wedding anniversary, so I’m devoting at least one post each day to the complex subject of love. The purest of love comes from our Creator, God. He created one man and one woman … Continue reading
SAYING “UNCLE”
The story in Genesis 32, which most of us learned in Sunday School as children, always raised a lot of questions for me. I wondered why anyone would want to take on God in a wrestling match. I occasionally watched Saturday morning … Continue reading
WHERE IS LOVE?
As most of you know, I have always loved musical theatre. Telling a story through music is much like the operas of old, but a dramatic telling of a favorite tale always seems to bring them to life for me. … Continue reading
WE ALL HAVE SPECIAL NEEDS
Yesterday our church had a guest speaker. His ministry is devoted to bringing the good news of the Gospel to children and young people with special needs. The fact that he is also a parent of a special needs child … Continue reading
AGING WITH A PLAN – PART II – 60-70
“When grace is joined with wrinkles, it is adorable. There is an unspeakable dawn in happy old age.” Victor Hugo Unlike most women, I wasn’t upset or depressed about this milestone. I’d begun my own business. I was busier than … Continue reading
GOD’S LOVE VS. MINE
These two verses in Isaiah 55, encapsulate the difference between man and God. As soon as we think our ways are better than God’s, we’re setting ourselves up for a gigantic fall. It happened at the beginning of civilization, when … Continue reading
