As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

FEBRUARY DISPONDENCY
It seems this little month lacks in number of days, but there are plenty of things to celebrate. There actually are a lot of things going during this tiny month. It’s been designated National Heart Month, Black History Month, National Weddings Month … Continue reading
GOD’S POINT OF VIEW
WATERCOLOR ART & POETRY BY KATHY BOECHER© When it seems that all is gone and the days stretch on too long, There is hope and consolation in God’s perfect preservation, He provides for every need, even when there’s naught to … Continue reading
HEY, WHAT’S THAT IN THE SKY?
With the sighting of several “weather” balloons in the sky recently, I couldn’t help but wonder why we go into panic mode when anything unusual happens. Instead of making light of it, we tend to turn our attention to the … Continue reading
NEVER TOO OLD . . .
We are never too old to learn. Our journey on earth is usually a brief number of years, filled with discovery. Think of what it would be like to live for hundreds or thousands of them. Our brains would be … Continue reading
STORMS A COMIN’
Standing alone in a storm as wind tears through the trees is not only frightening but lacks wisdom. Our bodies grow tense, the adrenaline flows, and all our emotions can explode into crushing fear. The sea rages as waves crash against each other. … Continue reading
IT’S JUST A SENIOR MOMENT ….
The majority of my posts this week have dealt with aging. I’ve tried to interject some humor into the whole thing, but there isn’t really anything funny about growing old. Our bodies have passed the expiration date, our senses have … Continue reading
THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER AND . . .
February is the shortest month of the year, so we tend to pack as much stuff into it as we can. Right off the bat, we have Groundhog Day on February 2nd – a day, which has for over a … Continue reading
WARMTH IN WINTER

FIRST RESPONSE OR LAST RESORT?
Worry seems to be part of our human nature. It’s interesting to me that animals don’t seem to carry that trait, and what a blessing for them. I mean, they have to find a warm place to sleep when it … Continue reading
MEMORY FAIL
The human mind is an amazing organ. It can hold more information than a computer, yet as we age, the data we’ve accumulated causes it to crash and even become useless. The one fear I have about growing old is … Continue reading
REMNANTS OF A SNOW ANGEL
We have certainly had our share of snow up here in the frozen Tundra of Minnesota. I used to love playing in the snow as a child. We’d build gigantic snow forts and load them up with fresh snowballs for … Continue reading

IT’S OVER – NOW WHAT?
All the time and preparation leading up to Christmas can lead to a full-blown bout of depression. Today, all the hub bub of Christmas has come to a standstill. There are still cookies in the freezer. Presents have been opened snowmen … Continue reading
IS THERE ROOM FOR ME?
A frail man, not more than thirty, huddles in the corner of a dank freight car to keep himself warm. He nibbles on the remnants of a discarded sandwich from the trash at the local burger shop. To him, it’s a Christmas … Continue reading
AN EMOTIONAL TIME OF YEAR
I didn’t realize there was really such a thing as a blue Christmas. Elvis touched hearts many years ago with a song about spending Christmas without the one he loved, but there actually is a day on the calendar set … Continue reading
CHANGE ISN’T ALWAYS EASY
As life goes forward, dwelling in the past gets further and further from our present-day reality. There is nothing we can do about what has happened prior to this time in our lives, except to learn from our mistakes and … Continue reading
