As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

SOUNDS OF THE CITY . . .
ART & POETRY BY PAUL & KATHY BOECHER© The sounds of the city are many. Most of them created by means of transportation. Trains, carrying passengers or large box cars filled with goods going to market. The commuter trains that … Continue reading
ATHLETES, POLITICIANS, MIMES & BOBBLE HEADS
Having been both a student and teacher of public speaking, I’ve had to learn a lot about body language. Has anyone else noticed similar gestures, eye contact, hand movement and nodding heads on those in the public eye? When they … Continue reading
CHANGE IS ALMOST ALWAYS GOOD . . .
I suppose Mark Twain would’ve been considered a radical in his time, and even today he’d be politically incorrect, but he made a lot of sense. He didn’t mince words when it came to the politicians of his day and … Continue reading
DO THINGS GET BETTER WITH TIME?
We’ve all been overwhelmed by the news of the past few weeks – for the past few decades as a matter of fact. We can sit back in our recliners and make snide comments about a particular person. We might … Continue reading
LORD, HEAL OUR LAND . . .
The past week was filled with anticipation, disappointment, fear and sometimes rage. Wars continue to rage in far off countries while here at home we’re fighting an even greater enemy. As we begin a new week which focuses on America … Continue reading
WHY DO WE NEED JESUS?
It’s easy to see why we need someone to rescue us from the ugliness which has covered the world. Identity theft has run amok – human slavery still exists as children are sold into prostitution – morality is at an all-time low – everything except … Continue reading
WHAT WAS “NORMAL” ON 09/10/2001
Twenty two years ago, was the height of the hurricane season. Hurricane Erin developed from a tropical wave on September 1st, threatening to land in Bermuda. The airports there were shut down and flights from there were delayed. This was the longest-lived … Continue reading

POLITICS AS USUAL
No need to elaborate on Mark Twain’s quote, but we have just witnessed another State of the Union Address. President Biden appeared the most presidential we have seen for some time. The Peanut Gallery of Congressmen and women didn’t fail … Continue reading
THE YEARS IN BETWEEN – INTRODUCTION
As an actor, playwright and author, it’s important for me to know many details about a character. I like to know where they lived – what was happening in his world – what was the political climate – what does the … Continue reading
STOP THE NOISE
CACOPHONY – A harsh discordant mixture of sounds. Another mid-term election is already in progress. It began many months ago and has ramped into a frenzy of accusations, name calling, hatred, anger and just plain annoying noise. Like the constant … Continue reading
POLITICAL ADS OVERLOAD
Wednesday around here, usually means it’s time for garage sales. We’re getting to the end of the season for that sadly. I love looking at other people’s trash and trying to imagine how to use it in and among my … Continue reading
CAN THERE BE PEACE ON EARTH?
Traffic sounds rumble early on a frosty morning. The crash of box cars echoes from the tracks. People running here and there with so much to accomplish and so little time. You become invisible in a sea of bodies rushing – … Continue reading
LED LIKE SHEEP
I’ve often voiced my opinion about the news media and how it’s changed over the years. Gone are the days of Edward R. Murrow, David Brinkley and Walter Cronkite. Who even remembers Paul Harvey? He was the one who put … Continue reading
I’M MAD AND SO AM
The pot is being stirred again. Not by those who love this country, but by those who would love to see her fail and be overtaken by our enemies. In the last several years we’ve experienced a malady much more … Continue reading
THE FABULOUS FIVE
Dateline June, 11 1776 On this day in history, the Continental Congress appointed a committee of five to write the Declaration of Independence from their mother country, England. The men chosen for this committee consisted of Thomas Jefferson of Virginia, … Continue reading
JUST BREATHE
“Take a breath and count to ten.” We’ve all said it at one time or another. It sometimes works with children, but what about adults? How do we control our anger when faced with so much of it every day? … Continue reading
WHEN ONE DOOR CLOSES . . .
Well it’s almost over – 2020 that is. We’re almost elated at the thought of saying goodbye to this year. It was like none other than most of us have experienced in our lifetime – filled with anxiety, fear, depression, … Continue reading
WHAT A WEEK!!!!!!!
This has been an unusually crazy week. Last Friday I masked up and ventured out to buy some candy to pass out to any would be trick or treaters. I decided to choose something I like, because I knew I’d … Continue reading
IN WHOM DO YOU TRUST?
In these final days leading up to the election, we’re hearing claims that if elected, there will be a more aggressive approach to curing COVID19. We are also hearing a very optimistic view that this too will end. Who ever … Continue reading
