As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

HAPPY SUNDAY
It’s Sunday again. Seems like the weeks pass by like minutes these past few years. One day runs into another, but Sunday is special in so many ways. Especially today. We are going to church. We haven’t attended in quite … Continue reading
HOW DID YOUR WEEK STACK UP?
I love these old dudes from the Muppets Show. They would sit in their private balcony and review whatever was being presented at the time. Of course, their reviews were always negative and left me thinking “Is this as good … Continue reading
SUFFICIENT GRACE
The following is a story of how we hang on to things that we learn as and how they carry over to adulthood. I was about nine or ten, I guess. We had just moved to the lowest level of … Continue reading
ONE WEEK CAN CHANGE EVERYTHING
Last Friday we meditated over the crucified Son of God as His arms stretched painfully upon a cross. His human life was being sucked from Him with the burden of our sins weighing heavily on His back. His final breath … Continue reading
CHOICE & CONSEQUENCES
Every day we’re faced with choices. When you think about it, most things we do are based on our choices, but we often fail to look ahead to the consequences. If Jesus, the man, had a choice in the matter … Continue reading
RABBIT HOLES
In 2020, we were in the beginning throes of a worldwide pandemic. Things have changed since then. We’re more attuned to the necessary alterations to our lifestyles. We still wear masks in certain situations. We’re leery of government yet have … Continue reading

FALL ON YOUR KNEES
When we first moved into our new, old house, I discovered I was spending a lot of time on my knees. The old farmhouse we chose to inhabit had been restored and most of the interior structural work was done. … Continue reading
IN THE IMAGE OF GOD
Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and … Continue reading
HOW DO YOU IDENTIFY YOURSELF?
In continuing this series on self-esteem, there’s something to address that most of us don’t think about when it comes to our value. As Christians, we’re expected to live with humility – not focusing on the good things we do … Continue reading
EASTER BUNNY VS. JESUS
As I was doing my weekly grocery shopping the other day, I was amazed to find a whole section devoted to Easter bunnies, chocolate eggs, peeps, sugary treats, cavity makers and artificial grass – along with baskets of all sizes … Continue reading
WHAT IF YOU KNEW WHEN YOU WERE GOING TO DIE?
If I knew the exact time, day, year and hour when I would die, I certainly would be in preparation mode. At my age, I should have thought about things like wills, final wishes for my funeral, songs I wanted … Continue reading
THE HANDS OF MY SAVIOR
I often think about the hands that reached up to his mother from the manger. Those tiny, dimpled hands were perfectly formed by His Father before His birth. As He grew, those little boy hands undoubtedly got scuffed and bruised … Continue reading
TURKEY DAY
It’s only three weeks until Thanksgiving – three Thursdays from now – less than a month away. Thanksgiving at my house usually runs anywhere between November 1st and November 30th. For years (far too many to count) Thanksgiving Day was … Continue reading
WITH LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL
The only justice for a life of sin is death. Every person that walks the earth is guilty no matter how good they may appear. We have all been judged by God and fallen short of His expectations. When I … Continue reading
I SMILE BECAUSE I’M HAPPY!
The photo I’ve chosen today is representaive of what’s going on in my life right now. It shows that joy can’t be hidden, even if the result is difficult for some to look at. You can’t stop joy from overflowing, … Continue reading
FADING FAST

SHINING BRIGHT
A light streams through resistant clouds. It brings a glimpse of heaven. As once in darkness bathed in shrouds, it’s filled with hope once given. The light came forth in darkness, so many years ago. And shone upon the Son of … Continue reading
GOD PROVIDES

WILL YOU STAY THE COURSE?
I wonder if I would be strong enough to physically defend my faith when it came right down to it. Are any of us really ready enough to stand up against persecution? As we look at the world today, there … Continue reading
