As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

LIFE LINES
(This pencil drawing lives on our living room wall. It is one of my favorites works of Pauls art. The detail in every inch is like the patchwork of our lives. It has won awards.) Each line is like a … Continue reading

WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO BE A GOOD DAD?
I know opinions about fatherhood have changed drastically over the past 30 or 40 years and I would like to address that today. Somehow, maybe as a result of the feminist movement, men have been lowered in value and the role of … Continue reading
GOD, THE FATHER OF ALL

THROW BACK THURSDAY – CONTRITION
The word contrition comes from the Latin word, meaning to crush. What a vivid description of how we should come to the Lord with our burdens. We should be crushed by the weight. Even the smallest of our wrongdoings are … Continue reading

DOWN & DIRTY
When things of this world envelope my soul, It’s time to get down in the dirt, To get my hands dirty and dig a big hole, To bury the junk and the hurt, I find in the garden a wonderful peace, That separates … Continue reading
THROW BACK THURSDAY – PERPETUITY
Perpetuity is one of those words we don’t make a lot of use of, but it’s one that should be brought forth again from time to time. It means timeless – eternal – everlasting – forever – to infinity and … Continue reading
SUNDAY SERENITY
God set this day aside for a day of rest. He had a pretty busy week prior to the final day of creating the world, the universe, every living thing. He established night and day and placed all the stars, … Continue reading
FRACTURED FRIDAY
There’s something about Peter Pan that always rings true for me. I never wanted to grow up. It’s not that I’m irresponsible. In fact, I’d consider myself quite responsible. Yet the idea of remaining childlike has always appealed to me. … Continue reading
THROWBACK THURSDAY – PERSISTENCE
God gives us some good advice in James 1:3 & 4. He tells us to hang in there; to hold on to our beliefs; to trust in His wisdom. It isn’t always easy to do that, especially when our lives … Continue reading
WEDNESDAY WISDOM
“Millions of trees in the world are accidentally planted by squirrels who bury nuts and forget where they hid them. Do good and forget. It will grow someday.” Anonymous We can learn so much from nature. Consider the squirrel. He … Continue reading
WEDNESDAY WISDOM – STORMS
Standing alone in a storm as wind tears through the trees is not only frightening but lacks wisdom. Our bodies grow tense, the adrenaline flows, and all our emotions explode into a procession of fear. The branches entangle and caress one another. … Continue reading
LAST MOTHER’S DAY MESSAGE
Last week I posted something every day about mothers. Yesterday was Mother’s Day and I didn’t post a word. I basked in the love of my family, even though we weren’t all together, I know that I was in their … Continue reading
WEDNESDAY WISDOM – SUPER HERO MOM
Fortunately, I was young when I had my children. As we age our patience runs out – our energy wanes – our tolerance is pretty much dead – and our thoughts can’t keep up with the speed of technology, much less children. … Continue reading
LIFE STORMS
We’ve been in a short duration of what is to come in Minnesota. Storms pop up suddenly and often without warning. The skies can be brilliant blue with a faint whisper of clouds and immediately become filled with darkness and … Continue reading
