As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

IT’S NOT COMPLICATED
ART & INSPIRATION BY PAUL & KATHY BOECHER The simplicity of the Gospel often boggles the mind. We are expected to believe something extraordinary – inconceivable – impossible. We delude ourselves into thinking there has to be more to it … Continue reading
BORN WITH A TERMINAL DISEASE
The thought of a terminal disease creates thoughts of death. Those words strike fear and anxiety into anyone faced with them. After all, didn’t God promise a life planned exclusively in each one of us? He promised in His book, … Continue reading
AND THE WINNER IS . . .
The Olympic games of 2024 are finished. All the years, months, days and hours, devoted to a particular sport have paid off with the awarding of gold, silver and bronze medals. To be honest, I did not tune in this … Continue reading
MAY 20th – FIRST LEVIS PATENTED
I borrowed the image from another blogger. The evolution of blue jeans during the days of the Gold Rush in California, to the pants on the ground of those who wear them today would probably cause quite a stir to … Continue reading
CHRISTMAS YET TO BE . . .
All the festivities has slowed to a snail’s pace. The stockings have been emptied and the presents are being used. All that remains of the Christmas feast is a refrigerator filled with leftovers and Christmas cookies galore. So, we hunker down with … Continue reading
OH TANNEBAUM
The beauty of a freshly cut Christmas tree has been a tradition for many years. During the Victorian Era, candles were woven into the branches to be lit on Christmas Eve. Families would dance around the decorated arbor, singing festive songs. There … Continue reading
TO CELEBRATE THOSE IN HEAVEN
Today, the church celebrates those who have preceded us in heaven – the saints, as they are referred to. This includes all those who have passed away, believing that Jesus redeemed them and prepared a special home for them in … Continue reading
THE LAST HURRAH

THANK YOU, JESUS . . .
Thanking God for another day may seem meaningless to some. To me, it means I have another 24 hours to spend with the man I married so many years ago and love with all my heart. Each day is a … Continue reading
A LUMP OF CLAY
There’s something about a lump of clay – it’s malleable. In the right hands, with the right tools, the clay moves and becomes a different form or shape. In the Bible, we’re told that we are the clay and God … Continue reading
THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD
Since it’s TBT, I’m sharing a post from 2014. Jesus has been my family’s shepherd for a lifetime. Even when it seems that we’re getting close to the end of our journey here on earth, we can draw comfort from … Continue reading
NEW SUMMER MEMORIES
Last year, at this time, we were on the shores of the river in Hudson, WI, watching young sailors having fun and learning how to sail. It was a beautiful memory of a day. The air was fresh and clean. … Continue reading
LIVE YOUR LIFE
When we’re limited by our age, by our health, our thinking, we tend to hold back on things we might still be able to do. I’m learning this more and more each day. Yesterday, a simple task of picking up … Continue reading
TIME FOR AN UPGRADE?
This week has been filled with re-runs of past posts. I often use this process to regroup – to heed my own advice – to find a topic of interest. This post was written at the beginning of the COVID-19 … Continue reading
OUR WEEK IN REVIEW – WORKING THROUGH ANOTHER CHALLENGE
We grew up together. We explored life together. We raised a family. We loved each other. We grew up some more. We got lost in each other’s arms. We made mistakes. We danced and held hands. We supported each other’s … Continue reading
GOD SHATTERS THE DARKNESS
The opaque murkiness of an impenetrable sky surrounds you. Your mind swirls with empty thoughts. You feel alone, lost, unapproachable, frightened. There is nothing but darkness. There is the apprehension of mystery when you’re in complete blackness – a somberness that encumbers … Continue reading
