As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

DOWNWARD SPIRAL

THE BEGINNING OF BIRTH PAINS
It sometimes seems that every day brings another story of man’s inhumanity towards man. There is the noise of violence in every corner of our country. Dissatisfied and enraged voices scream for change. People are divided in their opinions, their … Continue reading
PRESIDENT’S DAY
Somewhere between then and now it became politically incorrect to use the Bible as a reference point by presidents of our country. Ronald Reagan wasn’t afraid to talk about God or about the founding of our nation under God’s laws and … Continue reading
COCKEYED OPTIMIST
“Life is a train of moods like a string of beads, and, as we pass through them, they prove to be many-colored lenses which paint the world their own hue, and each shows only what lies in its focus.” Ralph … Continue reading
FLEETING MEMORIES
Howling, whistling, streaming through a patch of aging trees, The wind surprises and upsets and strips them of their leaves, One day a lush green canopy, another turned to gold, Soon withered, dry and sapped of life, they waiver in … Continue reading
A BEAUTIFUL MIND
Last night I had the opportunity to attend a performance of “The Miracle Worker,” performed by young actors. It is the story of Helen Keller’s journey of inner strength learned through her teacher Annie Sullivan. The relationship between these two … Continue reading
IT’S STILL LOVE WEEK

HEART & SOUL
I can still recall sitting at an old upright piano, with another sharing the piano bench and playing the high notes while I plunked out the chords. Heart and soul, I fell in love with you, Heart and soul, the … Continue reading
GROUNDHOG DAY ALL OVER AGAIN
Punxsutawney Phil did it again. He saw his shadow and therefore there will be six more weeks of winter. This year has been brutal for most of the nation as far as winter is concerned. Even in Florida temperatures are … Continue reading
HEALING IN LAUGHTER
A child’s laughter is one of the sweetest sounds in the world. Laughter from an elderly person with no teeth can be just as gratifying. Laughter can also indicate embarrassment, frustration or even panic. Laughter can trigger all kinds of emotions, but one thing … Continue reading
CAN THERE BE PEACE ON EARTH?
Traffic sounds rumble early on a frosty morning. The crash of box cars echoes from the tracks. People running here and there with so much to accomplish and so little time. You become invisible in a sea of bodies rushing – … Continue reading
MAKING WAVES
ART & POETRY BY PAUL & KATHY BOECHER© In life we have a quiet voice, that whispers more than screams, We open up our mouths to speak, our thoughts, our hopes, our dreams, We take the easy path it seems, … Continue reading
RESTING IN GOD’S WARMTH
The glory of God’s majesty spilled through my window this morning,Is it a foreshadowing of good things to come?Alone I sit in its warmth Wrapped in its glistening light,Soaking in the rays of heaven,Feeling God’s presence,Delighting in His perfection,There is … Continue reading
THE HIDING PLACE
We often seek to hide from God – our sins are much too great, We tremble at the thought of Him, but He will simply wait, Until the darkness is too much for us to comprehend, We’re in so deep, … Continue reading
JESUS LOVES ME!
On the outside, most of us look pretty normal, but once we get to know each other, the flaws jump out at us like a frog sitting on a hot frying pan. We can make ourselves look good by taking … Continue reading
DON’T WORRY – I’M FINE!
Disclaimer – This post is not intended to offend anyone – only to illustrate. There are days in my life when worry overtakes me. I often wonder why it’s so much a part of who I am. It might be … Continue reading
MAN’S BEST FRIEND
Some days require walking, a trek into the woods, A quiet, little respite, from cares of every day, To have a good companion is also very good, To walk right there beside you, and never from you stray. A … Continue reading
CALL ON ME . . .
We’re in a time in history when fear is probably our greatest enemy. The pandemic has placed most everyone in a bubble – in more ways than one. We fear being isolated from others. We fear getting a disease which … Continue reading
IT WAS AN EPIPHANY
I’m a lot like my mom when it comes to telling jokes. She’d often forget the punchline as do I, but she relayed a good one several years back, regarding the wise men of the Epiphany. When on vacation in the … Continue reading
