As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

THE FAITH TO LET GO
When someone tells you to walk by faith and not by sight, what does that mean? Even though faith is something intangible, it requires action. We can’t see faith – we can’t hear it – it isn’t something we respond … Continue reading
WHAT ARE YOUR PRIORITIES?
Our priorities often change over time. When we’re young and life is staring us in the face, we can take it on with little fear of failure. As we grow older, we see that life is fickle and things we … Continue reading
WEAKNESS OR STRENGTH?
It doesn’t make sense to the logical mind that our weaknesses are an opportunity of any kind. There is nothing good about feeling that you don’t measure up to what the world expects you to be. Those feelings of weakness … Continue reading

NATIONAL NASCAR DAY
Today is National NASCAR Day. Though I’m not an avid fan of NASCAR, I feel like I’m living on a racetrack right now. We live on a major highway – well we don’t physically live on the highway, but lately … Continue reading

OH TO BE A BEATNIK AGAIN . . .
I grew up in the 50’s and 60’s – when you were either a square, cool, a greaser or a beatnik. I’m sure every generation has their own labels, but to be a beatnik in the 50’s might’ve been akin … Continue reading

PIERCING THROUGH THE DARKNESS
POETRY BY KATHY BOECHER Black, acrid smoke rises from a recently snuffed candle. It weaves its way through the light, causing darkness to prevail. But is that darkness eternal? Will the light return again? Will the endlessness of obscurity win … Continue reading
