As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

FALLING IN LOVE ALL OVER AGAIN!
I’ve been absent for a while because of illness. Not just me, but the long, drawn-out issues my husband is struggling with. Through this time of our lives together, we still enjoy each other’s company and can laugh in spite … Continue reading
EXPLOSION OF THE SENSES
Autumn is one of my favorite seasons. Not only are our eyes exposed to a feast of brilliant colors, but the sounds change too. We hear geese migrating in search of warmer climates and honking all the way. There are … Continue reading
FEARFULLY, WONDERFULLY MADE
When I look in the mirror first thing in the morning, I’m sad to say I don’t always like the reflection, but that’s just my vanity talking. If I look at the inner workings of the human body, mind and … Continue reading
BEING A MOM – EXPECTATION & REALITY
So, you’re having a baby! One of the most fulfilling, life-changing, magnificent, delightful, loving events in a woman’s life. It will definitely change you forever. When you first get the news that you’re going to carry a child within your … Continue reading
AM I MY OWN WORST ENEMY?
As Christians, we’re told to trust God in all situations – to carry our burdens to Him – to be still and know that He is God. That sounds almost like a copout – like the easy way out of … Continue reading
BLESSINGS THROUGH LIGHT
Sunlight dances across brilliant blue skies, Weaving a kaleidoscope of light and color, Twisting and turning through boughs and leaves, It balances just the right amount of a warm, comforting glow. Each fragment of fractured light disperses into brilliance, Tiny … Continue reading
WHERE LIES YOUR TREASURE?
I don’t know about you, but pirates have always held a fascination for me. In the old days, we’d watch the swashbuckling antics of Errol Flynn. Today we put up with the rum swilling Johnny Depp – a much more … Continue reading
GOD WINS
“If you are going through hell, keep going. One ought never to turn one’s back on a threatened danger and try to run away from it. If you do that, you will double the danger. But if you meet it … Continue reading
WHERE DOES THE ROAD LEAD?
Our walk each day is often filled with tangles, twists and turns, We try to forge a clearer path, for safety our heart yearns, Each fork can lead you to success, each branch can hide the way, You struggle with the smallest things, … Continue reading
LIVING IN THE MOMENT
I love my state, because you don’t have to go far from home to find some lovely body of water and amazing forests, not to mention the many parks which are the destination for hikers and campers. Yesterday, Paul and … Continue reading
HOW DO YOU IDENTIFY YOURSELF?
In continuing this series on self-esteem, there’s something to address that most of us don’t think about when it comes to our value. As Christians, we’re expected to live with humility – not focusing on the good things we do … Continue reading
HOW DID I GET LIKE THIS?
The child in me was already forming information about myself before I even knew who I was or how I fit into this world. Many times, we blame our current situation on those who influenced us as children. When you’re … Continue reading
YOU WERE BORN FOR THIS TIME
The Book of Esther does not mention the name of God within its pages, but He is apparent throughout the entire story. It is a story of patience – waiting for God’s will to be accomplished – and faith that … Continue reading
THROW BACK THURSDAY
Almost six years ago, we were in the throes of looking for a new house. Time was running out and we felt like we’d never find our next dwelling place. Memories of another time, when our world caved in. It … Continue reading
DADS WHO FIX THINGS
Dads are usually good at fixing things. We often see them tinkering over a broken down lawn mower or under the hood of a car with a handful of tools. They may not always know what they’re doing, but there … Continue reading
THROW BACK THURSDAY – PATIENCE
Since it’s throw back Thursday, I’m digging into the archives to bring you today’s post on patience. Even though we think we’ve got things covered, patience is not always easy. As we face difficulties, hope for a better future, try … Continue reading
WEDNESDAY WISDOM
I guess you could say I was a child that grew up on “screen time.” My screen was an 8″ black and white TV, upon which I spent Saturday mornings wallowing in Looney Toons cartoons. I would then spend the … Continue reading
GOD’S RAINBOW
Many years ago, I wrote a musical play based on Noah and the Ark. It was called, “The Rainbow Promise.” In the final scene of the play, a rainbow appears to assure the people who were saved from the great … Continue reading
GOD, BE IN MY HEAD!
H. Walford Davies composed the hymn, “God, be in my Head,” and it was published in 1910. It has undergone some changes in arrangement over time, but the words remain the same. Those words sum up the Christian walk from … Continue reading
