As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

FINAL EXAMS
This week many college and/or high school students will be taking final exams. I can relate to the pressure they’re under. I never liked taking tests. I would often wait until the last minute to cram every ounce of information … Continue reading
MAY THE 4TH BE WITH YOU . . .
I must admit, I’m not a great Star Wars aficionado. I know, I know, what’s wrong with that woman anyway? My kids enjoyed the Star Wars movies. I love Yoda and the baby Yoda characters. Didn’t much care for Jabba … Continue reading

MEMORIES ARE MADE OF THIS . . .

THESE KIDS TODAY
I’m certain I would never have been hailed as Mother of the Year during my tenure of raising three youngsters. I made a ton of mistakes – mistakes I wish I could undo, but instead I just hide them away in … Continue reading
PARENTING ISNT FOR WIMPS
As our children grow from infants to toddlers, you will see a lot of your own habits and idiosyncrasies come to life in them. This is a time to really be a good role model for them. They’re like little … Continue reading
SO, YOU WANT TO BE A PARENT?
It all seems so precious and perfect. A couple marries, they have a child, then another and maybe more. What could be better? Well, I am certainly not an expert on parenting, even though I did birth three babies that … Continue reading
MEMORY FAIL
The human mind is an amazing organ. It can hold more information than a computer, yet as we age, the data we’ve accumulated causes it to crash and even become useless. The one fear I have about growing old is … Continue reading

THANKSGIVING THOUGHTS
ART & POETRY BY KATHY BOECHER© This year is going much too fast. It seems the older we get the swifter the journey. Our bodies are telling us to slow down, but our minds are still in high gear. With … Continue reading
THROW BACK THURSDAY – FAMILY
This is one of those old church photographs, taken some forty years ago. Things have changed a lot since those days, but there are few things that are especially noticeable. Paul has more hair than the rest of us. We … Continue reading
GENERATION GAPS?
So much has changed over time – or has it? I think the generation gaps we hear about are more like stepping-stones to building future generations. In my lifetime alone, I’ve seen technology change tremendously. I grew up with one … Continue reading

OLD TIME CURE ALLS
I remember spending summer vacations at my grandparents’ farm. It was quite an experience for a city girl to become a country mouse for a couple months. I recall going shopping in the big grocery store in the nearest town … Continue reading
WHAT’S YOUR REALITY?
I think it’s time for a reality show that actually shows normal people, living ordinary lives, going through difficulties, joys, fun times, death, pain, grief. Thus it would be the life of moi and probably a lot of other people … Continue reading
MOTHERHOOD REALITY
Mother’s Day has come and gone, but I’m concerned about how much parenting has changed over my lifetime. I’ve seen women go through a time of total submission to complete domination in the course of only some fifty years. They … Continue reading

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY
There are so many reasons to thank men for being fathers. Not only are they procreating to populate the world – which requires no special skill – but they’re also given responsibilities anyone would desire on their resume’. They’re problem … Continue reading
