As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

A NIGHT IN THE WAREHOUSE
My husband was forbidden to purchase a gun when he lived with his parents. Their reasoning made perfect sense. They had witnessed many gun shot deaths in their business. When Paul got out of the Air Force and was still … Continue reading
I SURVIVED VBS
Our new church only has VBS for one day, but the day is jam packed with outdoor activities, crafts, lots and lots of music, sweet little ones, art, games and time to spread the Gospel. As for the leaders, it … Continue reading
IN A FOG
There are days when things just don’t make any sense. In fact every day seems to become enveloped with a thick fog that could eventually consume us and leave us hopeless. We look for answers, we strive for contentment, we … Continue reading
ADVERTISING MAN
A while back, a television series about the advertising business hit the screen. I watched one episode of this and that was enough. Unfortunately it brought up some seriously bad memories. The three hour martini lunch was played up, but … Continue reading
OPEN HEART SURGERY
Returning down memory lane, my husband had many interesting moments when he was in the advertising business. He did almost everything, from a trip deep into the Wind River Mountains on horseback to flying into a remote lake in Alaska … Continue reading
NOT MY PLAN
Each day brings good intentions, but it isn’t long before all of our noble hopes take a hit as reality sets in. You stumble out of bed – stub your toe on the night stand – limp to the bathroom … Continue reading
LET IT GO DAY
There seems to be a holiday for everything, if you go on the internet. In fact today is “Let It Go Day. I’m not sure when it originated, but the movie FROZEN certainly took off on it. We as human … Continue reading
WHERE DO YOU PRAY?
Is it in the quiet, stillness of the morning or when the evening comes? Is it in a closet full of shoes and boxes that words of solace, supplication, praise and thanksgiving spill from your lips? Do you pray when you … Continue reading
ARE WE LIVING IN HELL?
I am trying my best not to tune into the news. I feel ignorance can be bliss. At least I have a temporary respite from the ugliness of our world. We can’t really escape all the darkness surrounding us by the flip … Continue reading
TAKE & EAT, TAKE & DRINK
Yesterday our only granddaughter was confirmed in her baptismal faith. This was an especially wonderful day for us as her grandparents. In this same church, shortly after her birth, she was baptized. In this past year, she was instructed in … Continue reading
A BEAUTY OR A BEAST?
“Happiness is a sunbeam which may pass through a thousand bosoms without losing a particle of its original ray; nay, when it strikes on a kindred heart, like the converged light on a mirror, it reflects itself with redoubled brightness. … Continue reading
SING TO THE LORD
I spent weeks at my grandparents’ farm in the summer and am reminded of the crackling sound of the radio whining out some of those ancient spiritual songs of woe. I guess you could call them the blues of the country. Grandma … Continue reading
WHY BLOG?
When I started blogging three years ago, I never dreamed it would become such a time consuming endeavor. I’ve always felt strongly about certain issues, yet never felt comfortable confronting them face to face with others. Writing has allowed me … Continue reading
LEAP OF FAITH
Who’d think that someone in their seventies would embark on a new challenge? Our current president, for example, has taken a round about turn in his career to see what he can do to make America great again. Michelangelo, the artist, … Continue reading
GOD USES THE ORDINARY
There are times when we feel attacked from all sides. Trouble continues to plague us or the world we live in. When we can’t possibly handle another test, another one comes along to add to the mix. There are so many examples … Continue reading
FIRMLY I STAND
Who would have thought one of Jesus disciples would betray him? How could those who followed Him and leaned on His every word, run away when things got tough? How could His rock solid Peter deny Him three times when He … Continue reading
CHARACTERS OF THE PASSION – ANNAS
At the time of Jesus’ unjust arrest, Annas was no longer the acting high priest of Judaea. He had originally been appointed by Quirinius for the position, when the Romans took over rule of the Jews. He served for ten … Continue reading
RANDOM ACT OF KINDESS DAY
This is one wacky holiday we can all sink our teeth into. It doesn’t take a lot of work. It can be something as simple as paying someone a compliment, helping them carry their groceries to the car, make a … Continue reading
THE TIMES, THEY ARE A-CHANGIN’
It may have begun somewhere in the 1970’s. We were winding down a seemingly endless war in Viet Nam. Women fought for equal rights. Segregation was still an issue. We had a national scandal and saw a president impeached. The comedians of … Continue reading
