As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

THE DEVIL MADE ME DO IT . . .
In the early 70’s, Flip Wilson coined the phrase, “The devil made me do it,” and created the character, Geraldine, who often said, “What you see is what you get.” His popularity grew at a time when racism was running rampant, … Continue reading
GOD’S INTRICATE PLAN . . .
“WISDOM,” COLORED PENCIL DRAWING BY PAUL BOECHER & POETRY BY KATHY BOECHER © Our world is full of tragic news and heartfelt disconnection. We struggle to find good in all the strife and insurrection. The devil uses all these things … Continue reading
THE BALLAD OF BONNIE & CLYDE
I had this all written today, when I realized I was a day late. However, I think the story has merit. Bonnie and Clyde were famous outlaws in the 1930s. They both died on the same day, May 23, 1934. … Continue reading
WHERE EVIL LURKS . . .
He was one of the most dazzling of God’s creation. He was called, Lucifer, the son of the morning, the day star. He was there at the beginning – he’s been around throughout history and still exists today. He has charisma – he’s … Continue reading
WHAT’S HAPPY ABOUT HALLOWEEN?
Ah, the joys of the season – the holiday celebrating the living dead – the ghosts that go bump in the night – the fear filled movies that are intended to scare you to an early grave – the spirits … Continue reading
UNEXPECTED BLESSINGS
Life is full of blessings if we just look for them. I’ve mentioned that we’re experiencing some very hot days with extreme dew points lately. Yesterday, we took another weekly drive. I was able to make it from the house … Continue reading
CHOICE & CONSEQUENCES
Every day we’re faced with choices. When you think about it, most things we do are based on our choices, but we often fail to look ahead to the consequences. If Jesus, the man, had a choice in the matter … Continue reading
ENMITY WITHIN
ENMITY – Noun – a feeling or condition of hostility; hatred; ill will; animosity; antagonism. Enmity isn’t a word we use very often. My first introduction to it was in Sunday school a long, long time ago, when we were … Continue reading
SPOOKY TIME OF THE YEAR
I just finished stage managing “Sleepy Hollow, the Musical.” The title itself gives way to things that go bump in the night, yet there is the relief of turning this scary tale into a fun filled musical. Halloween happens this … Continue reading
TO SLEEP PERCHANCE TO DREAM
I recall going to sleep as a child and my mom would tell me to have sweet dreams. The thought of having sweet dreams was comforting, because the real world wasn’t always that kind of escape. In your dreams you … Continue reading
SATURDAY THOUGHTS
In a world confused about morality, conscience and sin, we’re faced with a real dilemma. The evil of this world has slowly deteriorated to the point of obliterating the truth of God. Our inability to accept the word “sin” has … Continue reading
THOSE DOGGONE WEEDS!
When we lived in our old house, I managed to create a garden of pretty epic proportions on a hill. It wasn’t just a mound, but a real hill, that almost required mountain boots to climb. That didn’t deter me. … Continue reading
PRINCE OF DARKNESS
The story of the Passion of Christ wouldn’t be complete without the antagonist – that ever present cad who was on the scene at the beginning of the creation of the world – the one who attempted to take away God’s … Continue reading
LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION
40 days without nourishment – living in a vast emptiness – alone, weary, hungry, weak, easy prey for the adversary. Jesus was about to begin His ministry as the Holy Spirit led Him into the wilderness to be tempted by the … Continue reading
I DIG DIRT
Ever since I was little I had a close attachment with dirt. I loved making mud pies. I enjoyed digging for worms. There was something about squishing your fingers through the moist soil in search of buried treasure or who knows what. … Continue reading
ARE WE READY?
In 1963 a list of Communist goals was shown to the House of Repesentatives. I’m going to list just a few of them today, but if you want to read more, go to the article, “The Communist Takeover of America … Continue reading
LITTLE SINS
Dawn Jones at INSPIRATION with an ATTITUDE had an interesting post today about tolerance. It got me to thinking how the devil works and what he’s done slowly sifting through humanity with his minions. His ideology would seem to be spreading … Continue reading
GOD IS THE ANSWER
Terrorism strikes fear into all hearts and minds. Our human nature tells us to fight back – to stand up for what we believe – to give in to our feelings. By doing so, we have already lost the battle. … Continue reading
SHUT DE DO, KEEP OUT DE DEBIL!
The devil is accustomed to using our shortcomings to weaken our faith. He did it in the Garden of Eden by tempting the first humans into thinking they could become like God by eating the forbidden fruit. He did it in the … Continue reading
THOSE WHO TRUST IN GOD WILL POSSESS THE LAND
A day doesn’t seem to go by where we don’t hear about some heinous act of evil. A week ago we mourned with those in Charleston over their loss. Today in France we see results of more evil, hateful minds. … Continue reading
