As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

A PEEK AT SUMMER
ORIGINAL ART & POETRY BY PAUL & KATHY BOECHER© It seems like an eternity since quiet waters ran, Since sun-kissed skies caused squinting eyes, and toes touched on the sand, Awakened by morning sunrise, a craft sails slowly by, Still waters lap upon … Continue reading
IS TIME RUNNING OUT?
Our lives fill up rapidly with a litany of mistakes – a truckload of foolishness – difficult decisions – fears – hopes – dreams. By the end of each week, our refreshment needs renewal. We’re given this time on earth … Continue reading

MIRROR OF THE SOUL
Today is my second cataract surgery. The first went well and I’ve been able to see true color out of that eye and everything is much brighter. Now I can’t wait for the other eye to match up. Our vision … Continue reading
PEARLS OF TRUTH
There’s really nothing funny about getting older. The fact that you have become your mother isn’t really all that bad. You loved your mother, right? I know I did. She came to live in our home when she was my … Continue reading
DOWNSIZING, PURGING OR SPRING CLEANING?
Some folks call it Spring cleaning while others call it de-cluttering, downsizing or purging. I call it hard work. When we go through the memories of the past, or struggle over what to hang on to and what to get … Continue reading
NATIONAL SOMETHING ON A STICK DAY
Today is National Something on a Stick Day. It’s March 28th, mind you. I live in Minnesota. The only sticks around here are still attached to trees or hidden under a mountain of snow. However, I love these wacky holidays, … Continue reading

RABBIT HOLES
In 2020, we were in the beginning throes of a worldwide pandemic. Things have changed since then. We’re more attuned to the necessary alterations to our lifestyles. We still wear masks in certain situations. We’re leery of government yet have … Continue reading

SURE SIGNS OF SPRING
Winter simply wants to hang on this year. We’re blessed to have help shoveling our way out. It’s not a pretty sight seeing to octogenarians outside in below zero weather, trying to push snow around. In my part of the … Continue reading

FRIENDS BY FAITH, NOT SIGHT
I’d driven that same road several times during the week. Funny how you get in the habit of going somewhere and never really stopping to notice the things around you. There was one thing I did manage to see almost … Continue reading
OH TO BE A BEATNIK AGAIN . . .
I grew up in the 50’s and 60’s – when you were either a square, cool, a greaser or a beatnik. I’m sure every generation has their own labels, but to be a beatnik in the 50’s might’ve been akin … Continue reading
MISSING MY DOG
