As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

NATIONAL SOMETHING ON A STICK DAY
Today is National Something on a Stick Day. It’s March 28th, mind you. I live in Minnesota. The only sticks around here are still attached to trees or hidden under a mountain of snow. However, I love these wacky holidays, … Continue reading
ARGH!
Well, the word for today is “ARGH,” because it’s “Talk Like a Pirate Day.” Who doesn’t like Pirates? Other pirates, I guess, along with those they pillage and plunder. The kind of pirate I’m talking about is the Errol Flynn … Continue reading
NATIONAL LAZY DAY
I don’t know – maybe it has something to do with the dog days of summer. Maybe it’s a reminder to slow down and enjoy the moment. It might even be a day dedicated to simply doing nothing and being … Continue reading
INTERNATIONAL TOWN CRIERS’ DAY
I enjoy looking at a site called Days of the Year, which lists all the special and unusual holidays at home and around the world. It’s amazing what people celebrate. Today is International Town Criers’ Day – one of those … Continue reading
SUPERMAN DAY
Today has been designated “Superman Day.” I’m not sure why. It’s one of those wacky holidays that really has no purpose other than to give us something to celebrate. Today is also my second grandson’s 20th birthday – a milestone, if … Continue reading
LOST SOCK MEMORIAL DAY
THIS IS A RERUN, BUT ONE OF MY FAVORITE HOLIDAYS BY FAR. It’s a common dilemma. We’ve all experienced it. It can cause a mother guilt. It’s raised many an eyebrow. The lost sock is known by many but remembered … Continue reading
HAIRBALL AWARENESS DAY
Who would’ve thought there’d be a day reserved for this? I happen to own a dog who thinks he’s a cat. He has many characteristics, like preening himself, curling up in a tight ball, being a loner and occasionally coughs … Continue reading
FEBRUARY HAS GONE TO THE DOGS
Some of you know, I love weird and wacky holidays. Who needs a writing prompt? On February 14th it was Pet Theft Awareness Day. February 20 was Love Your Pet Day – Yesterday, February 22 was Walking the Dog Day and … Continue reading
HAPPY HEDGEHOG DAY
“If somebody thinks they’re a hedgehog, presumably you just give ’em a mirror and a few pictures of hedgehogs and tell them to sort it out for themselves.” Douglas Adams This little hedgehog deserves as many accolades on this Groundhog … Continue reading
