As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

BECOMING PART OF THE 21st CENTURY . . .

PERFORMERS OF GREAT NOTE
Today is May 10th and would’ve been John Wilkes Booth’s 186th birthday. His fate was sealed when he was only 26 years old. Up until that day, he was looked upon as a fine young actor who graced the performing … Continue reading
WE ALL NEED JESUS – PART THREE
When I turned 21, my world seemed perfect. I was going to be married within a year. All the arrangements had been made. My father kept asking how many people were going to attend and kept a tally up until the day … Continue reading

I am amazed by people who get up early in the morning, do a load of wash or two, make lunches for their kids, plan supper, go out for a quick run, take a shower, get their kids up and … Continue reading
TECHNOLOGY 102
The word, “illiterate,” is an adjective used to describe someone who is unable to read or write. It can also mean uncultured or ignorant of various subjects or activities. I never thought of myself in those terms until technology came … Continue reading

THE YEARS IN BETWEEN – INTRODUCTION
As an actor, playwright and author, it’s important for me to know many details about a character. I like to know where they lived – what was happening in his world – what was the political climate – what does the … Continue reading
A THEATRE COSTUMER’S LAMENT
Six years ago, my costume wardrobe was huge. I still have a few boxes up in the attic of the garage, but for some reason, when I’m called upon to locate a costume or find one for myself, I come … Continue reading
MEDICAL MISHAPS
We’ve all experienced some pretty weird things when it comes to medical issues. My acting troupe, “The Jewels of deNial,” has recently combined their talents to create this next episode of our radio show called, “Medical Mishaps.” The collaboration of … Continue reading
ARGH!
Well, the word for today is “ARGH,” because it’s “Talk Like a Pirate Day.” Who doesn’t like Pirates? Other pirates, I guess, along with those they pillage and plunder. The kind of pirate I’m talking about is the Errol Flynn … Continue reading
THEATRICALIZING THURSDAY
My word for the day is “Theatricalizing.” This is what I do. I am a theatricalizer – or a Thespian – a playwright -a performer – an actor – and old to boot. This has been my chosen profession for … Continue reading
AN ACTOR’S LIFE FOR ME
Hey diddly dee, an actor’s life for me. Disney’s Pinocchio decided that an actor’s life was just the kind of life he wanted. What was the appeal? All actors know that you can hide behind a mask of sorts and … Continue reading
AGING WITH A SENSE OF HUMOR
As you know, I turned eighty a couple months ago. I really feel this is a great accomplishment for me, but my genetic background shows that my DNA contains genes which qualify me to be a long liver. I’m not … Continue reading

I’M A THEATRE JUNKIE
I think it began when I was three. Mother enrolled me in ballet, tap, jazz and baton lessons – thinking I would someday become the next Shirley Temple. I learned to step, shuffle, ball and change before I knew my … Continue reading
