As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

FRIDAY PRAYER
The week is coming to a close. The frigid temperatures should also be winding down soon. My heart has felt slightly frozen this week as wind chills cast a giant shadow over us. Each day seemed to run right into the next. We stayed … Continue reading
COMING TO GRIPS . . .
Exactly what does it mean to come to grips? This isn’t a common idiom these days. Instead we might say something like, “get in touch with your feelings,” ”learn to cope,” or “don’t sweat the small stuff.” Since today is National Thesaurus Day, … Continue reading
OLD FASHIONED WEDNESDAY
A funny fact about January Wednesdays in Minnesota is that they’re just like every other day of the week. For us, the temperatures have kept us homebound and we’re feeling the stress of cabin fever. When you’re 81, all days become just like … Continue reading
WE ALL NEED JESUS! PART TWO
Yesterday, I started a series on how important Jesus is for all of us. It actually was to be one post, but I got a little carried away, which happens to me often these days. Through all the stages of our lives, … Continue reading
WE ALL NEED JESUS! – PART ONE
John 3:18 ESV ”Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.” The lovely picture associated with this post was found on … Continue reading
WHO IS THAT?
I have to admit, I feel this way almost every morning when I get a first look at my reflection in the mirror. Who is that old lady? How did she get into my bathroom and why is she here looking at … Continue reading
BEST FRIENDS FOREVER . . .
As I review my life, I can’t help but think about the many friends have had through these past 81 years. I remember the name of my very first best friend. It was Mary Beth O’Neill. She was the first Catholic I’d ever … Continue reading
GOD’S CREATURES – GREAT & SMALL
Something has been missing from our landscape for quite a while. Yesterday we were blessed with a fresh covering of the white stuff. Suddenly, that which was almost green grass is now arrayed in a carpet of glistening diamonds. As I write this, … Continue reading
BABY, IT’S COLD OUTSIDE
Winter blahs, cabin fever, vitamin D deficiency, and wind chill index are all negative terms used for winter. In Minnesota we take winter to a new level by throwing out terms like Winter Carnival, Ice Palace and ice sculptures. In this … Continue reading
DO YOU SEE WHAT I SEE?
Lately, much of my time has been spent going to doctor appointments. I guess that goes along with the aging factor. During those times, I have the opportunity to observe the comings and goings of people – sick, well, hearty and … Continue reading
PROMISE . . .
ART & POETRY BY PAUL & KATHY BOECHER© In his early years as a fine artist, Paul T. Boecher did a lot of sculptures for various individuals and businesses. Everything from totem poles to fish and birds, along with a life-sized … Continue reading
OUT OF THE DARKNESS . . .
We just said goodbye to another year – to all the past sins, mistakes and blunders. Now we can take heart in the everlasting light that takes away every blot. We have a clean slate because of that light – the … Continue reading
THE SCARS OF THE PAST . . .
ART & POETRY BY PAUL & KATHY BOECHER© This painting wouldn’t be considered beautiful by most, but looking at it closely, I can see myself in that tree. Each second of life is quickly ticking away. The weight of brokenness … Continue reading

AULD LANG SYNE . . .
I’m not sure that the song, “Auld Lang Syne,” by Robert Burns ever made the Hit Parade, but I do know that Robbie Burns didn’t actually compose the lyrics. It’s right there on Wikipedia and of course the Internet knows everything, … Continue reading
CHANGE & DECAY . . .
As we come to the end of another year, it’s natural to look back at the past and think about all the ugliness that happened during that time. It’s time for a fresh start – a second chance or a do-over. In … Continue reading
HUNGERING & THIRSTING FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS
Being hungry and thirsty are ways of telling us we need nourishment and refreshment. The only way to satiate that hunger and thirst is to immerse ourselves in God’s Word and His amazing plan for our lives. Through them we will … Continue reading
PEACE BETWEEN GOD & MAN
What is happening in our world today? We certainly don’t see much evidence of peace with wars raging in Ukraine and Israel. We don’t see peace in our own country as we’re still a divided nation in so many ways. Disputes erupt on … Continue reading
