As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

ON THE BACK OF A DONKEY
Before His birth, Jesus traveled on the back of a donkey. He was safely protected from the bumps and crevices on the rugged road. Tucked away in His mother’s womb, it wouldn’t be long and He’d be born to set … Continue reading

He was the chief tax collector of Jericho. He was also a descendant of Abraham. His own people despised him because tax collectors were considered corrupt as well as traitors to their own people. Zacchaeus was also short – very … Continue reading

WHAT PRICE FOR ART?
I didn’t post yesterday, because we ventured out to church in the morning and then spent the rest of the day on a date together. Usually I post some of Paul’s art on Sundays along with some poetry of mine. … Continue reading
WHAT IS MY VALUE?
According to US Government statistics, the average monetary value of a human life is ten million dollars. If you factor in inflation, you can kick that up another million or two. How do “they” come up with this number? It … Continue reading
WHO AM I?
I love musical theatre. One of my favorites is “Les Misérables,” by Victor Hugo. Hugo lived in a time of great turmoil. The French Revolution was in its early development. People were living in poverty while their rulers partied the … Continue reading
FIRST RESPONSE OR LAST RESORT?
Worry seems to be part of our human nature. It’s interesting to me that animals don’t seem to carry that trait, and what a blessing for them. I mean, they have to find a warm place to sleep when it … Continue reading
THE YEARS IN BETWEEN – CONCLUSION
THE TIME WAS RIPE FOR A SAVIOR The Torah wasn’t being taught on a daily basis, as it should’ve been. Families were breaking apart. Religion had become geared to the hierarchy and the common folk felt they had nothing to fall … Continue reading
COME, LET US ADORE HIM
Streets dusted with powdered sugar snow are empty now after the hustle and bustle within this tiny town. Everyone empties the church after singing praises to the newborn King. The lights dim as the final wishes of “Merry Christmas,” are … Continue reading
MAUDLIN MONDAY
The image of Emmett Kelly is what I remember most about the circus clowns of the old days. Emmett expressed the epitome of maudlin. Maudlin describes itself as self-pity, over sentimental and often tearful. Later in my life, clowns took … Continue reading
GOD WINS
“If you are going through hell, keep going. One ought never to turn one’s back on a threatened danger and try to run away from it. If you do that, you will double the danger. But if you meet it … Continue reading
IN THE GARDEN
When we started our humble garden at the house we bought almost six years ago, I had lamented the fact that it lacked the beautiful garden we left at our old house. So, we began building some new ones. As … Continue reading
ANOTHER PROPHECY FULFILLED
Thirty-three years before, Jesus was carried in His mother’s womb on a donkey. The donkey is a beast of burden and so this is telling in a way. Our Savior, King would humble Himself by doing this. He would not … Continue reading
A MASTER STORYTELLER
The parables of Jesus are recorded in the first three books of the New Testament. There were countless stories that Jesus used to illustrate something He was trying to teach those who came to hear His words. He was a … Continue reading

IT IS FINISHED!
The sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was torn down the middle. Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” When he had said this, he breathed his last. Luke 23:45-46 At the moment that our Savior spoke His last words … Continue reading

THE DEPTH OF SIN
A tangled snare begins quite small, but quickly grows either into a thing of beauty or it takes advantage of other living things to sustain itself. Beneath the surface it worms it’s way through the fertile soil and takes hold … Continue reading
