As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

HOW DID YOUR WEEK STACK UP?
I love these old dudes from the Muppets Show. They would sit in their private balcony and review whatever was being presented at the time. Of course, their reviews were always negative and left me thinking “Is this as good … Continue reading
CAN WE MAKE A DIFFERENCE?
It would seem that once we’ve achieved a lifetime of successes and failures, we would have enough knowledge to help others through some of theirs. We might consider our endless wisdom to be useful to someone. Well, actually life isn’t … Continue reading
SUFFICIENT GRACE
The following is a story of how we hang on to things that we learn as and how they carry over to adulthood. I was about nine or ten, I guess. We had just moved to the lowest level of … Continue reading
ONE WEEK CAN CHANGE EVERYTHING
Last Friday we meditated over the crucified Son of God as His arms stretched painfully upon a cross. His human life was being sucked from Him with the burden of our sins weighing heavily on His back. His final breath … Continue reading
PEARLS OF TRUTH
There’s really nothing funny about getting older. The fact that you have become your mother isn’t really all that bad. You loved your mother, right? I know I did. She came to live in our home when she was my … Continue reading
FEAR OF HIGHS AND LOWS
We’ve just come down from a high emotional season of the Passion of Christ. Yesterday we rejoiced that our bruised, smitten, tortured and dead Savior has overcome the grave and risen from death. Our joyful Halleluiahs were raised in song … Continue reading
OH TO BE A BEATNIK AGAIN . . .
I grew up in the 50’s and 60’s – when you were either a square, cool, a greaser or a beatnik. I’m sure every generation has their own labels, but to be a beatnik in the 50’s might’ve been akin … Continue reading
WHAT IS GOD’S WILL FOR MY LIFE?
Surrendering to God’s will is not easy. We can think of a thousand different reasons why we should follow our own heart, think it through and make our own decisions. Do we underestimate God so much, that we think we’re … Continue reading

STORMS A COMIN’
Standing alone in a storm as wind tears through the trees is not only frightening but lacks wisdom. Our bodies grow tense, the adrenaline flows, and all our emotions can explode into crushing fear. The sea rages as waves crash against each other. … Continue reading
GROWING OLD IS OVERRATED

FIRST RESPONSE OR LAST RESORT?
Worry seems to be part of our human nature. It’s interesting to me that animals don’t seem to carry that trait, and what a blessing for them. I mean, they have to find a warm place to sleep when it … Continue reading
THE PERFECT PRAYER
Prayer was important to Jesus. He would often escape to a quiet place to talk with His Father. His time was limited, because of the big following He was gaining, but that didn’t stop Him. The disciples saw their rabbi … Continue reading
