As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

SATURDAY PRAYER
Dear, Lord, I just read an article about a summer sleep away camp in Georgia. More than 3/4 of the camp attendees and staffers contracted the Covid19 virus. With statistics like that, I can’t help but be concerned for children … Continue reading
HOW HAS LIFE TURNED OUT FOR YOU?
There was a day when I wondered what my lot in life would be. I’ve often dreamed dreams which could be interpreted as bizarre, frightening and downright dark. There have been other dreams too. The ones that show a world … Continue reading
IT ONLY TOOK ONE STONE
King David was once a young shepherd boy. He was satisfied tending his sheep. His brothers were older and stronger, with a few more years of life experience than he. He found satisfaction playing the lyre while watching over the … Continue reading
HE IS THERE
ORIGINAL ART & POETRY BY PAUL T. & KATHY BOECHER© Life comes at us like a raging river at times, Pushing, crashing, dispersing its power, Seemingly overtaking us with its fury, Yet even in those times of fear, loss, … Continue reading
IT’S ALL ABOUT STATUES
Every day it’s something new, but is it really? In the last few weeks we’ve heard about the demolishing or desecration of statues and images of those who were memorialized for their accomplishments. Some would argue that statues are simply … Continue reading
DON’T MESS WITH MR. IN BETWEEN
It was 1945. I was only three years old and didn’t know much about war. I didn’t understand hate. I didn’t know what it was all about, but I did love the music of that time period. My parents both … Continue reading
OBEDIENCE
Our last dog lived to be almost 12 years old. When he was a pup of six months, we decided it was time for some obedience training. We enrolled Gage in Puppy Obedience School with high hopes that the commands … Continue reading
WHERE DOES YOUR STRENGTH COME FROM?
It’s summertime here in Minnesota. Fish are jumping and the corn will be knee high by the fourth of July. Folks are venturing out of their cocoons as restrictions are slowly lifted – some with the frenzy of anxiety driving … Continue reading
WHO ARE WE?
Someone once said, “Change is inevitable – except from a vending machine.” Change can be good; it can drive us crazy; it can be difficult, but it will happen to everyone. When something disrupts our comfort zone it can really … Continue reading
ONCE UPON A TIME
There once was a shepherd. He was a caring young man, who loved his flock and enjoyed his time with them. He’d spend hours, sitting and watching over them. While he sat and watched, he enjoyed the fresh, clean air … Continue reading
MOTHERS WHO INFLUENCED MY LIFE
These are two of my children – my oldest and my youngest – both mothers now. My first born, Amy, is pictured on the right. She was my guinea pig so to speak. I guess our first child is always … Continue reading
MOTHERS WHO INFLUENCED MY LIFE
My mother in law had a great influence on me, because she gave birth to the man I would marry. She was a stately woman. When she was only 51, her husband passed away in the night laying beside her … Continue reading
INCONCEIVABLE
One of the famous lines from “The Princess Bride,” consists of only one word – “Inconceivable!” It brings to mind that something which has just has occurred is beyond belief, surpassing all understanding or impossible. It must have been like … Continue reading
PERSEVERE UNTIL THE END
I often wonder what it would be like to turn back the hands on a clock and reverse our lives at a fast speed, so we could pick out the times we gave up on something right before a major … Continue reading
GREY SKIES ARE GONNA CLEAR UP . . .
ART & POETRY BY PAUL & KATHY BOECHER Some days seem all out of focus, the clouds turn our vision dim. God’s masterful plan seems hidden, doubt colors the shades so grim, We lose control and we wonder if relief … Continue reading
TWO MORE WEEKS
Early on in this “stay at home” policy, I noted that it seemed we were being required to do this in two week increments. I’m not sure if that deadline is meant to encourage us to be optimistic that this … Continue reading
GIVING UP OR GIVING IN?
Days grow into weeks and weeks into months. Some of those days are filled with optimism while others bring nothing but one bad thing after another. The amount of time and energy we spend on those bad days is really … Continue reading
WHAT’S A VULNERABLE ADULT?
“Memory in youth is active and easily impressible; in old age it is comparatively callous to new impressions, but still retains vividly those of earlier years.” … Continue reading
SURVIVOR
I am not a fan of the reality series, “Survivor.” To me a real survivor isn’t self-serving, pompous, physically fit or one who is only in it to win. However this show has grown in popularity and “survived” for the … Continue reading
