As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

THE LAST DAYS OF JESUS
Jesus spent His final days talking to his disciples about what was about to soon take place. It had to be difficult for them to understand. They knew His purpose here on earth, but why did He have to die? … Continue reading

TIME FOR SOME SERIOUS GROVELING
There’s a whole lot of groveling going on in the Old Testament. The Children of Israel continued to make the same mistakes over and over and over again. It’s easy for us to see where they blew it – how they strayed from … Continue reading
WHAT IF YOU KNEW WHEN YOU WERE GOING TO DIE?
If I knew the exact time, day, year and hour when I would die, I certainly would be in preparation mode. At my age, I should have thought about things like wills, final wishes for my funeral, songs I wanted … Continue reading
A MASTER STORYTELLER
The parables of Jesus are recorded in the first three books of the New Testament. There were countless stories that Jesus used to illustrate something He was trying to teach those who came to hear His words. He was a … Continue reading
SUNDAY PRAYER
Dear Holy, God, You are the bright and shining star. You make the birds to sing and the waters to spring up and rain pour down to nourish your creation. My heart delights in your name. I wonder sometimes, what … Continue reading
THE POTTER & THE CLAY
It’s hard to imagine ourselves as a lifeless piece of clay or dead mass of rock, but when you see the final result – it’s an amazing piece of imagery. We are in the Master’s hand. He takes us and shapes … Continue reading
GOD, BE IN MY HEAD!
H. Walford Davies composed the hymn, “God, be in my Head,” and it was published in 1910. It has undergone some changes in arrangement over time, but the words remain the same. Those words sum up the Christian walk from … Continue reading
WHAT’S NEXT?
This world of ours – it’s a mixture of cultures, filled with different races, consumed with material things, longing for success, desirous of power and filled with greed. When all those things combine, there can be chaos. When it looks … Continue reading
IS THERE SUCH A THING AS GOOD GRIEF?
We know that grief is a very common emotion among us humans, yet when we’re experiencing it, there is nothing anyone can say or do to keep the tears from falling – the heart from longing – the mind from … Continue reading
IN GOD’S PRESENCE
Life comes at us like a raging river at times, Pushing, crashing, dispersing its power, Seemingly overtaking us with its fury, Yet even in those times of fear, loss, despair and anxiety, God is there in the midst of it … Continue reading
OUT OF THE MOUTHS OF BABES
My husband is back in the hospital again. I needed a pick me up so turned to one of my old posts. Sometimes we just need to laugh in spite of our circumstances. God gives us a sense of humor … Continue reading
DON’T GIVE UP
God gives us some good advice in James 1:3 & 4. He tells us to hang in there – to hold on to our beliefs – to trust in His wisdom. It isn’t always easy to do that, especially when … Continue reading
PRESIDENT’S DAY
Somewhere between then and now it became politically incorrect to use the Bible as a reference point by presidents of our country. Ronald Reagan wasn’t afraid to talk about God or about the founding of our nation under God’s laws and … Continue reading
COCKEYED OPTIMIST
“Life is a train of moods like a string of beads, and, as we pass through them, they prove to be many-colored lenses which paint the world their own hue, and each shows only what lies in its focus.” Ralph … Continue reading
IT’S STILL LOVE WEEK
Valentines have been shared. Hugs and flowers have been sent and received. I even went out yesterday and bought a valentine shaped box of candy for half price. You can see where my romantic side has been taken over by … Continue reading
MY SHEPHERD, MY KING
Slowly crossing the sands of time – into a pasture green sublime. I’ll rest my feet and wet my lips, with waters clear and cold that grips. Through danger I will walk with Him. He guards me from each foolish sin. … Continue reading
HEART & SOUL
I can still recall sitting at an old upright piano, with another sharing the piano bench and playing the high notes while I plunked out the chords. Heart and soul, I fell in love with you, Heart and soul, the … Continue reading
