As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

DREAMY VILLAGE
No this isn’t the mystical little town of Brigadoon, the magical town filled with legend, love, tragedy and beautiful music. It.might be though. This is a town just north of the great cities of St. Paul & Minneapolis, but it … Continue reading
HUMP DAY HUMOR
Wednesdays have been labeled, “Hump Day” since the 1950s. The middle day of the work week gives the employee hope for an end of it, and the promise of a weekend filled with rest and recreation. Unfortunately, the weekend is … Continue reading
WHAT’S YOUR REALITY?
I think it’s time for a reality show that actually shows normal people, living ordinary lives, going through difficulties, joys, fun times, death, pain, grief. Thus it would be the life of moi and probably a lot of other people … Continue reading
NEVER UNDERESTIMATE YOUR WORTH
There are so many times in life that we feel inadequate or unintelligent. I could tell you that everyone goes through these feelings, but that isn’t going to solve the problem of a poor self-image. I guess time will heal … Continue reading
MOTHERHOOD REALITY
Mother’s Day has come and gone, but I’m concerned about how much parenting has changed over my lifetime. I’ve seen women go through a time of total submission to complete domination in the course of only some fifty years. They … Continue reading
THROW BACK THURSDAY
Almost six years ago, we were in the throes of looking for a new house. Time was running out and we felt like we’d never find our next dwelling place. Memories of another time, when our world caved in. It … Continue reading
WELLNESS CHECK
I am at the age where a “wellness check” is filed with questions like, “do you feel safe at home?” or “look at these three words and I’ll ask you to remember them at the end of the exam.” I … Continue reading
PREPARING FOR THE BATTLE
The father of our country, George Washington, was right in his quote, “In time of peace, prepare for war.” Our heavenly Father wants us to be ready for the battles we face too. Every day is a battle in some … Continue reading
ON THE WATERFRONT
Reflections of a summer day, the range of many hues, The gentle breeze on mirrored lakes, the reds, yellows and blues, The sailboats take their daily cruise, the colors quickly change, While God remains in heavenly skies, the seasons to … Continue reading

WEDNESDAY WISDOM – EXPERIENCE

FRACTURED FRIDAY – ARE WE BROKEN?
As we approach Memorial Day, there is so much to think about. A senseless war is being waged in Ukraine. It has no real purpose other than greed and power. Lives are being snuffed out for no reason. Cities are … Continue reading
WEDNESDAY WISDOM – AGING
When you reach the Golden Years, you are at the epitome of your existence. Life is finally winding down and you don’t have to work as hard as you did in your 50s. You have earned the right to take … Continue reading
CALM AFTER THE STORM
The sky declares the glory of the Lord, His power rises in the turmoil of a storm, He stirs the clouds with His little finger, And they obey, Gathering into multitudinous troops, They bow before Him, They join together to fill the … Continue reading
LAST MOTHER’S DAY MESSAGE
Last week I posted something every day about mothers. Yesterday was Mother’s Day and I didn’t post a word. I basked in the love of my family, even though we weren’t all together, I know that I was in their … Continue reading
LIFE STORMS
We’ve been in a short duration of what is to come in Minnesota. Storms pop up suddenly and often without warning. The skies can be brilliant blue with a faint whisper of clouds and immediately become filled with darkness and … Continue reading
MAKE ROOM FOR LAUGHTER
It’s not easy to find humor in the events of today, but I think it’s mandatory. Laughter has always been good medicine. Even the Bible talks about how important it is for us. Proverbs 17:22 says, “A joyful heart is … Continue reading
ANOTHER PROPHECY FULFILLED
Thirty-three years before, Jesus was carried in His mother’s womb on a donkey. The donkey is a beast of burden and so this is telling in a way. Our Savior, King would humble Himself by doing this. He would not … Continue reading
KING OF KINGS & LORD OF LORDS
The people crowded across the expanse just surrounding the Mount of Olives. Jesus would give His final instructions to those who claimed to be His followers. The place was covered with thousands of men and even more women and children. … Continue reading
EARLY MORNING LIGHT
As the morning light arises, on a pasture green sublime, Sun light kisses trees and branches, balancing the sands of time, Though through danger I will wander, snares are set at every turn, God is there to guard my footsteps, leading me to … Continue reading
