As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

WON’T YOU BE MY NEIGHBOR?
ART & INSPIRATION BY PAUL & KATHY BOECHER This watercolor painting was done on site. Looking at this landscape shows the determination of American farmers as we see the deep ruts, indicating where seeds have been laid. The little house … Continue reading
I WANNA BE MARY OR THE ANGEL OF THE LORD . . .
Many years ago, I had the opportunity to direct the Best Christmas Pageant Ever. It is based on the book by Barbara Robinson that most of us have read or at least seen performed. The tale relates the story of … Continue reading
ROD AND REPROOF
Dr. Benjamin Spock was a bestselling author of the 1960s with his book on childrearing. My copy looked like a ransacked Bible after my first child reached her first birthday. His ideas were mind blowing to most grandparents. He suggested allowing a child to cry a … Continue reading
THE WEEK IN REVIEW . . .
Looking back and looking forward both bring challenges and joy. My problem is that I often lose sight of the highlights of the past week and the good things that lay ahead. Many times, we get lost in the mundane … Continue reading
PEACE BETWEEN GOD & MAN
What is happening in our world today? We certainly don’t see much evidence of peace with wars raging in Ukraine and Israel. We don’t see peace in our own country as we’re still a divided nation in so many ways. Disputes erupt on … Continue reading
MONDAY MUSINGS
It’s Monday again. The only reason I know that is because yesterday was Sunday and the third Sunday in a row, we’ve been able to attend church in person. Getting the week started has always depended on that event. Physically … Continue reading
COME, LET US ADORE HIM
Streets dusted with powdered sugar snow are empty now after the hustle and bustle within this tiny town. Everyone empties the church after singing praises to the newborn King. The lights dim as the final wishes of “Merry Christmas,” are … Continue reading
SUNDAY SERENITY
God set this day aside for a day of rest. He had a pretty busy week prior to the final day of creating the world, the universe, every living thing. He established night and day and placed all the stars, … Continue reading
BORN AGAIN OR REBORN?
I’m amazed by the extraordinary stories of how people come to faith in God. Many of them have been extremely inspirational and demonstrate the zeal of their faith. My story is different. Some might even find it boring. I’m a … Continue reading
NO SMALL PARTS
Constantin Stanislavsky once said, “Remember, there are no small parts, only small actors.” Where do you fit in to the scheme of things? I always told my young performers that each of them was an important piece of the story … Continue reading
STOP THE WORLD, I WANT TO GET OFF!
The artist/author, Don Freeman was best known for his children’s literature. Most youngsters and their parents have heard of “Corduroy,” the little red bear. He died in 1978, so had no clue about what the United States would become in … Continue reading
GOING HOME
We have all experienced one of the most interesting, challenging, life changing years in our history. Not only have we been cut off from our families and friends, we’ve been asked to honor this holiday season by being kind to … Continue reading
THIRSTING FOR CHURCH
It’s Sunday – a day I would normally be sitting in a church pew alongside my husband, daughter and granddaughter. It’s been a time away from the physical contact we used to enjoy. We’re now confined to our homes. Yes, … Continue reading
OBSTACLES – THE PHARISEES
The Pharisees came from a long line of religious tradition and strict adherence to the law of the God of Abraham. Jesus spent much of His youth in their temples filling His mind with the writings, the laws written by … Continue reading
EMPTY SEATS – FULL HEARTS
Two years ago we moved to a new location and decided upon attending a new church as well. We had come from a huge congregation, with a Christian school and great church attendance. At first we thought we might commute … Continue reading
PLEASE COME TO CHURCH
Did you know that 70% of those who do not attend a church have never been invited? Well, today, I’m inviting you. Church is not a place for righteous, outstanding people, with no problems. You might even consider it a … Continue reading

WHAT TO DO WHEN IT’S HOT
Picture this. It’s almost ninety degrees in the shade. We come prepared with our cowboy hats, boots and water, but the float hasn’t arrived. We huddle under a tree. Soon the rest of the group arrives and joins us under … Continue reading
