As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

MORE THAN A BRIGHT IDEA . . .
The entire story of Christmas is filled with mysterious events, which can only be believed by faith in the One who made them happen. The story of God’s taking on human flesh, being born of a virgin mother, following the … Continue reading
SING CHOIRS OF ANGELS
Can you imagine an entire army of angels, singing songs of praise to announce the birth of the Savior? Maybe if you did actually see such a miraculous sight, your friends and family might have you admitted for psychiatric evaluation. … Continue reading
THE STAGE IS SET
The stage was set. All the promises of old were being fulfilled by God. The Messiah was here! His mother cradled the tiny infant in her loving arms as stepdad, Joseph looked over her shoulder. Shepherds wondered at the sight … Continue reading
GOD’S LOVE IS NOT SHROUDED
The feeding trough shown in the image may or may not be accurate. The strips of cloth that swaddled the Baby Jesus were probably not left in that manger either. Most of what we imagine about that first Christmas has … Continue reading
A CHILD IS BORN
A new life emerges. Air fills His little lungs. He lets out a big scream. His mother swaddles Him in strips of cloth already prepared for this journey. She snuggles Him tightly and kisses his curly head. This child entered … Continue reading
LOOKING OUT THE WINDOW – PART FOUR – A LIGHT IN THE WINDOW
This is the final episode of looking through a window. It seems rather fitting, as we are now in the season of Advent. Our focus should be on the fulfillment of God’s promise to all people, when He sent His … Continue reading
HEAR THE WORD OF THE LORD
Since today is Throwback Thursday, I thought I’d share an old post from 08-24-15. This story from the Bible has always amazed me. To imagine bones coming back to life creates visions of Stephen Spielberg’s creative mind. It seems an … Continue reading
IS YOUR LIFE MEANINGLESS?
Ecclesiastes 2:11 “Yet when I surveyed all that my hands had done and what I had toiled to achieve, everything was meaningless, a chasing after the wind; nothing was gained under the sun.” I find it interesting that time is … Continue reading
MAUDLIN MONDAY
The image of Emmett Kelly is what I remember most about the circus clowns of the old days. Emmett expressed the epitome of maudlin. Maudlin describes itself as self-pity, over sentimental and often tearful. Later in my life, clowns took … Continue reading
LABELS – TRUE OR FALSE?
Many of us remember reading this book in our teen years. I’m not sure why it was required reading. Maybe it was a way of discouraging promiscuous behavior. Maybe it should be put on the reading list again. The book … Continue reading
GOD WINS
“If you are going through hell, keep going. One ought never to turn one’s back on a threatened danger and try to run away from it. If you do that, you will double the danger. But if you meet it … Continue reading
DIRTY WINDOWS
We have some major construction going on just a short distance from our home. A major highway, which is within earshot of our backyard is being remade to accommodate for the increase in traffic. The construction is on its second … Continue reading
BIG GOD, LITTLE ME
I stand in Your presence my God. Your strength surpasses the skies, I can’t comprehend an ant such as me could possibly gaze in Your eyes, I’m created in Your image, yet sin has caused a great distance, To wheedle … Continue reading
YOU ARE VALUED
In this final installment about self-worth, it’s important for us to look at Satan and his lies. He would have us believe that we are not worthy of God’s attention. He sneaks into our soul and creates doubt and fear. … Continue reading
IN THE GARDEN
When we started our humble garden at the house we bought almost six years ago, I had lamented the fact that it lacked the beautiful garden we left at our old house. So, we began building some new ones. As … Continue reading
THROW BACK THURSDAY – GOD’S IMMENSITY
When my husband worked as a naturalist, he would demonstrate what the world looks like from above. He also highlighted the fact that we don’t often realize that we may be walking over an entire living community without even knowing … Continue reading
GOOD FRIDAY?
I never quite understood the meaning of the words, “Good Friday.” What’s good about it? Today we’ll hear sermons and watch movies depicting the horrendous torture and death of Jesus of Nazareth. We will experience the pain of the lash, … Continue reading
. . . AND JESUS WEPT
They had arrived outside the city of Jerusalem. Jesus and His band of brothers made the journey for the annual Passover celebration. They were tired from the long journey, but Jesus was well aware of what would soon come to … Continue reading
KING OF KINGS & LORD OF LORDS
The people crowded across the expanse just surrounding the Mount of Olives. Jesus would give His final instructions to those who claimed to be His followers. The place was covered with thousands of men and even more women and children. … Continue reading
TIME FOR SOME SERIOUS GROVELING
There’s a whole lot of groveling going on in the Old Testament. The Children of Israel continued to make the same mistakes over and over and over again. It’s easy for us to see where they blew it – how they strayed from … Continue reading
