As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

WORRISOME, WEAK, WASTEFUL, WHINY WEDNESDAY – NO WAY!
Well, here it is another Hump Day. We’ve made it halfway through the work week with only two more days to go. How many humps can a camel possess anyway? I’ve seen some with two humps, but three or more might … Continue reading
THE WEEK AHEAD
It’s not unusual to make plans for the coming week. We usually have some kind of agenda to accomplish and setting goals for completing them is usually mapped out at the beginning, but by the end, the road has taken … Continue reading

A PLACE CALLED NEVERLAND . . .
Growing up is an amazing thing when you think about it. Our bodies mature. Our limbs stretch out. We add bulk to our tiny forms. Hair appears in all kinds of places. Our teeth come in and eventually fall out. … Continue reading

A FIELD OF WEEDS . . .

ON BECOMING A WISE GUY . . .
This week I’m going to focus on wisdom. Not because I’m so filled with it myself, but because age doesn’t necessarily make us wise. I think some of the greatest words of wisdom have come from children. For example, when I was … Continue reading
HAPPY CURMUDGEON DAY . . .
The definition of the word, “curmudgeon,” can best be described in pictures rather than words, The Muppet’s grumpy fellows sitting in the balcony come to mind. I also think about Clint Eastwood telling those delinquent kids to get off his lawn. It also … Continue reading

WINSOME WEDNESDAY
“Winsome” is one of those words we don’t use in daily conversation anymore, but it’s a lovely word. It’s an adjective which means – sweetly or innocently charming. Maybe that’s why we don’t use it much. Our world has become less innocent, … Continue reading
THE GREAT MINNESOTA SNOWSTORM
This certainly has been an unusual winter for us up here in Lake Woebegon. A storm which was expected to drop several inches and create blizzard conditions eluded us. I guess it could be called a “NOstorm.” I find it really … Continue reading
