As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

MAKE ROOM FOR LAUGHTER
It’s not easy to find humor in the events of today, but I think it’s mandatory. Laughter has always been good medicine. Even the Bible talks about how important it is for us. Proverbs 17:22 says, “A joyful heart is … Continue reading

THE WHOLE STORY IS INCONCEIVABLE
I might be the only one who has made this comparison, but the entire Biblical Christmas story reminds me of the word Vizzini kept repeating over and over in “The Princess Bride.” It is more than inconceivable, it’s unbelievable, miraculous … Continue reading

WHAT’S GOING ON IN THEIR LIFE?
Did you ever stop to wonder what might be going on in someone else’s head? They could be a complete stranger, but their actions are speaking volumes. For example, the lady at the deli counter, who apparently doesn’t like her … Continue reading
SPIRITS OF CHRISTMAS – PART ONE
It seems that some of the world’s greatest literature includes a ghost or two. In Shakespeare’s work, the protagonist is often confronted with ghosts. Spirits are sometime seen as evil or forces from the devil. Some might be portenders of future events. … Continue reading
WE NEED A LITTLE CHRISTMAS
A couple of weeks ago, when it was still in the 50s, our granddaughter came over and retrieved our Christmas decorations from the attic in our garage. Both of us have resigned ourselves to not do any ladder climbing now … Continue reading
WHAT HAVE WE GOT TO BE THANKFUL FOR?
It certainly would seem that this Thanksgiving doesn’t give us a lot to be thankful for. We’re basically going into lockdown again. We’re not being permitted to gather with our families and loved ones. We’re seeing an economy slowly dying … Continue reading
THE EMPTY CHURCH
Three generations of our family eight years ago. Taken at the front of our church in Minneapolis. The thought of not celebrating Easter in church is almost impossible for me to imagine, but this year will be a first for … Continue reading
PLEASE, DON’T STEAL MY JOY!
Every mother who sees her first born child experiences a myriad of emotions. For most of us the word “joy” comes to mind. She counts fingers and toes, holds the baby close to her breast and experiences the ecstasy of … Continue reading

PEACE ON EARTH
The world was a much smaller place than it is today, when Jesus was born in the tiny town of Bethlehem. In fact a geographer named, Strabo had mapped out as much of it as he possibly could at the time. There … Continue reading
STOP THE WORLD
About a year ago, I started posting cartoons pertaining to writers. I did this as a means of taking my mind off of the negativity going on prior to our last election. Laughter can be good medicine, but so often … Continue reading
CHOICES
“We are not living in a world where all roads are radii of a circle and where all, if followed long enough, will therefore draw gradually nearer and finally meet at the centre: rather in a world where every road, … Continue reading

THERE IS NO SHAME IN CRYING
What will heaven will be like? Will we all be sitting on white puffy clouds singing and playing golden harps? When someone we love departs this world, it’s natural for us to wonder. As Christians, we have the joy of … Continue reading
