Today we continue our journey to S. Carolina and a long awaited visit with our children and in celebration of grandson #2s graduation.  We’ve had a great visit with my sis and her husband.  Got to take a wonderful tour of Nashville, enjoy good food and drink, laughed until my face hurt and genuinely feel like the healing of the last few months of sadness is beginning to take place.

We have decided that Bruce will now be known as Billy Bob, the dishwasher and James, the waiter – however I much preferred Chad. We had such a good time these past few days. It’s hard to say goodbye, but this time has been a blast.  Now it’s on to the next place.

When we travel through life, there will be times of sadness.  Tears can be a cleansing for those brief times, but God’s promises of eternity will wash away those tears.  In His heaven, we will be heirs of eternal life and smiles will never fail to exist.  In the meantime, we will try to find them here on earth.  It’s great to share them with family.

As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on

  4. Amen! Thank you for sharing your visit with family. I was thinking of you yesterday as I was visiting with mine. Kind of funny,I seem to have a bit of a grandchildren hang over today. That is when they have run you all over the place and you are limping about the next day as if you have just gone clubbing across Europe or something. Enjoy your visit. 🙂

Our grandkids aren’t little anymore but I know what you mean. I’m hanging on to every moment of this trip because we don’t see them much since they moved. I am getting my smile back.
