As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

AN EMOTIONAL TIME OF YEAR
I didn’t realize there was really such a thing as a blue Christmas. Elvis touched hearts many years ago with a song about spending Christmas without the one he loved, but there actually is a day on the calendar set … Continue reading
WHERE DO I GET MY MATERIAL?
Many of my fellow bloggers have such creative minds. They seem to be able to turn stories of reality int0 great comedy stories or routines. Like Mark and his Yegg’s mysteries or Mitch’s tales from his youth, which always stir … Continue reading
OVERWHELMED
We all have those days when feeling overwhelmed becomes overwhelming. I’m talking about a number of circumstances, but particularly when you’ve been faced with a recurring problem that just doesn’t seem to get better. The frustration comes in not being … Continue reading
WHEN WILL THE RIDE END?
Life is like a roller coaster sometimes, isn’t it? You reach peaks throughout your journey and suddenly find yourself in the pits. I feel a little like Forest Gump this morning. I never have liked roller coasters. In fact, the … Continue reading
MAUDLIN MONDAY
The image of Emmett Kelly is what I remember most about the circus clowns of the old days. Emmett expressed the epitome of maudlin. Maudlin describes itself as self-pity, over sentimental and often tearful. Later in my life, clowns took … Continue reading
THE HARDEST TEARS
When we cry in silence, I think it’s probably the best time to communicate with God. Not that we should be sad when we pray, but that we feel so connected to Him, that we have no fear in laying … Continue reading
INTO EACH LIFE SOME RAIN WILL FALL
The sound of gently falling rain upon a tin roof can be irritating or restful depending on your state of mind. A drenching upon the dry soil can be a welcome relief or it can flood things freshly planted and … Continue reading
CHASING THE WIND?
Do you feel like it’s Groundhog Day, every day? Are you going through the motions of living, without really living? I am stuck at the moment. Life does get in the way of our living from time to time. How … Continue reading
IN THE IMAGE OF GOD
Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and … Continue reading
WHENEVER YOU FEEL ALONE . . .
I guess it’s OK to have a bad day, but I hate it when I’m the one having it. I know that things will be better tomorrow, but while I’m experiencing self-doubt, worry, fear, sadness or anxiety, I feel like … Continue reading
PRAYERS FOR UKRAINE
I cannot begin to imagine what the Ukrainians are dealing with in their country. The United States seems oblivious to the wars that rage around us and seem eager to send money and arms, but not really providing any kind … Continue reading
PRESS THE PAUSE BUTTON
Wouldn’t it be nice if we could hit the pause button and stop the world for a while? Some days are more chaotic than others, but right now we all need to slow down and take a deep breath. We’re faced … Continue reading
LIFE STORMS
We’ve been in a short duration of what is to come in Minnesota. Storms pop up suddenly and often without warning. The skies can be brilliant blue with a faint whisper of clouds and immediately become filled with darkness and … Continue reading
MAKE ROOM FOR LAUGHTER
It’s not easy to find humor in the events of today, but I think it’s mandatory. Laughter has always been good medicine. Even the Bible talks about how important it is for us. Proverbs 17:22 says, “A joyful heart is … Continue reading
A DAY OF UNREST
It was the Sabbath day – a day dedicated to rest and meditation. Jesus’ body had been interred in the tomb of a rich man. Time would not allow for preparing the body for burial, because the Sabbath required no … Continue reading
WHAT IS YOUR REALITY?
With all that’s occurred in the past two years, it’s no wonder that there’s more mental illness, depression and anxiety. The number for young people needing counseling has risen at alarming rates. Those individuals from 15 to 24 years of age, show … Continue reading
GOD’S RAINBOW
Many years ago, I wrote a musical play based on Noah and the Ark. It was called, “The Rainbow Promise.” In the final scene of the play, a rainbow appears to assure the people who were saved from the great … Continue reading
WHAT’S NEXT?
This world of ours – it’s a mixture of cultures, filled with different races, consumed with material things, longing for success, desirous of power and filled with greed. When all those things combine, there can be chaos. When it looks … Continue reading
DOWNWARD SPIRAL
“I wonder if I’ve been changed in the night. Let me think. Was I the same when I got up this morning? I almost think I can remember feeling a little different. But if I’m not the same, the next … Continue reading
