As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

REST IN HIS ARMS
The easy, peaceful days of summer are coming to close. Soon kids will be back in the classroom rather than complaining about not having anything to do. Within a week, I can guarantee that many of them will be boo-hooing … Continue reading

MIXED MESSAGES
It seems that every day we’re inundated with mixed messages. Liberals and Conservatives – anti-gays and gay rights – follow the law or do your own thing – pro-life and pro-choice – talk radio and TV shows which have their own agenda (usually … Continue reading

WOMAN OF THE NIGHT
It wasn’t unusual for men to knock on my door in the middle of the night. It had become a welcome mat for as long as I can remember. I wasn’t proud of my lifestyle. It ate away at me both day … Continue reading
DATELINE JULY 18, 64 AD
It was a steamy summer night in the city of Rome. The wind picked up, bringing some relief, but before the night was over a large portion of the city was engulfed in flames. It started in the poorest part … Continue reading
THE HOUSE IN THE WOODS
Art by Paul Boecher© It was nothing more than the skeletal remains of a deserted old building. The facade bore scars on its sun bleached boards. It had become pock marked by the bullets of hail. Remnants of a … Continue reading
STAY THE COURSE
This past week we had visitors from Utah, Oklahoma and Wisconsin – cousins I’ve not seen in over 30 years. We’ve all become older, and the hair that remains has turned gray. A few laugh lines have appeared (in my case an … Continue reading
SHOVEL READY
Being shovel ready has a lot of connotations today, but here’s one I’d like you think about. Our job as Christians demands that we dig in to the Word of God for knowledge on how to pray – how to relate … Continue reading
FAMILY ROAD TRIPS
Gone are the days when we’d pack three children, a dog and half our worldly belongings into the car and take off for a family vacation. Oh the joys of the open road – where you can leave all your … Continue reading
HEAL OUR LAND – HEAL US!
Over the past weekend, I thought about what it took to establish this great nation. Within its short history, we’ve seen a steady decline in morality, a lack of trust in God and a change in attitudes towards a government that was built through … Continue reading
AMERICA
Samuel Francis Smith wrote the lyrics to “My Country ‘Tis of Thee” in 1831, only 55 years after the Declaration of Independence had been signed. Marian Anderson performed the song at the Lincoln Memorial in 1939. Martin Luther King, Jr. recited the … Continue reading
GIVE ME YOUR TIRED, YOUR POOR
When I visited New York several years ago, there were cows everywhere. I ‘m not referring to herds of them running through the streets. Artists had painted these whimsical creatures to highlight some of the landmarks. My sister and I took photos standing in front of them, (before … Continue reading
CHIEF OF SINNERS

THOSE WHO TRUST IN GOD WILL POSSESS THE LAND
A day doesn’t seem to go by where we don’t hear about some heinous act of evil. A week ago we mourned with those in Charleston over their loss. Today in France we see results of more evil, hateful minds. … Continue reading

INSPIRE ME
What does it take to be inspired, especially when it comes to your relationship with God? For me, there are no fireworks, no feeling of physically bonding with my Savior, no Road to Damascus moment like Paul experienced. When I … Continue reading
