As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

The song “People” by Barbra Streisand relates the importance of being connected to others. People who need people, Are the luckiest people in the world We’re children, needing other children And yet letting a grown-up pride Hide all the need … Continue reading

REST IN HIS ARMS
The easy, peaceful days of summer are coming to close. Soon kids will be back in the classroom rather than complaining about not having anything to do. Within a week, I can guarantee that many of them will be boo-hooing … Continue reading
IN CHRIST ALONE
I wonder if we can ever be perfect, just like Jesus was. We say we’re Christians, but still we often stand in judgment of others. I don’t think we’ll ever achieve perfection on this side of eternity. Even though Jesus … Continue reading
I AM JESUS LITTLE LAMB
To most of us, sheep don’t seem especially bright. In fact they move in herds, because if left alone they’ll surely stray and walk straight into a dangerous situation. We are often led as sheep to the slaughter by those who would deceive … Continue reading
MY HERO
Young girls often have a vision of a knight in shining armor coming to rescue them from the villainy of an evil tyrant and carrying them off to a kingdom that is perfectly free from trouble and sadness. As we … Continue reading
NO MORE TEARS
I’ve reached a point in my life where many of my friends are being released from their pain here on earth and have passed into heaven. It’s tough to see those we care about leaving this life. It not only … Continue reading
GUILT
Guilt hangs on us like a heavy weight. Sometimes it manifests itself in the way we live, think and relate to others. Here’s an example – though not a serious offense, it crept into my dreams and convicted me. We had … Continue reading
MIXED MESSAGES
It seems that every day we’re inundated with mixed messages. Liberals and Conservatives – anti-gays and gay rights – follow the law or do your own thing – pro-life and pro-choice – talk radio and TV shows which have their own agenda (usually … Continue reading
I’M OFFENDED BY THOSE WHO ARE OFFENDED …
When my husband worked as an archery instructor, part of his job was to teach the rules of safety. As he was about to instruct an immigrant woman and her children, he explained the proper way to shoot without becoming injured. … Continue reading
WOMAN OF THE NIGHT
It wasn’t unusual for men to knock on my door in the middle of the night. It had become a welcome mat for as long as I can remember. I wasn’t proud of my lifestyle. It ate away at me both day … Continue reading
LORD, GIVE ME STRENGTH
I just completed a marathon week of drama. We held a summer theater enrichment program to a group of kids from 7 – 12. There was not only drama instruction and music, but there was a fair amount of actual drama as … Continue reading
TEN MANNERS TO TEACH YOUR CHILDREN
I’m going to preface this post with the fact that I’ve lived seven decades and I’ve not only seen a moral degeneration over the years, but I’ve seen some of the most basic manners disappear from society. Most children are … Continue reading
AMERICA IS BROKEN
Acts of civil violence, leadership that has taken away the voice of the people, city streets full of anger and hatred, an anything goes society, loss of spiritual involvement by the citizens, a people that has lost sight of God, … Continue reading
STAY THE COURSE
This past week we had visitors from Utah, Oklahoma and Wisconsin – cousins I’ve not seen in over 30 years. We’ve all become older, and the hair that remains has turned gray. A few laugh lines have appeared (in my case an … Continue reading
SHOVEL READY
Being shovel ready has a lot of connotations today, but here’s one I’d like you think about. Our job as Christians demands that we dig in to the Word of God for knowledge on how to pray – how to relate … Continue reading
FAMILY ROAD TRIPS
Gone are the days when we’d pack three children, a dog and half our worldly belongings into the car and take off for a family vacation. Oh the joys of the open road – where you can leave all your … Continue reading
AGE = A STATE OF MIND
Fairy tales can come true – it can happen to you, if you’re young at heart … Old, blue eyes, Frank Sinatra made that dream seem possible when he released “Young at Heart” in 1963. It was the same year that Camelot fell … Continue reading
HEAL OUR LAND – HEAL US!
Over the past weekend, I thought about what it took to establish this great nation. Within its short history, we’ve seen a steady decline in morality, a lack of trust in God and a change in attitudes towards a government that was built through … Continue reading
THOSE WHO TRUST IN GOD WILL POSSESS THE LAND
A day doesn’t seem to go by where we don’t hear about some heinous act of evil. A week ago we mourned with those in Charleston over their loss. Today in France we see results of more evil, hateful minds. … Continue reading
