As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

THANKSGIVING 2018 – #1
Thanksgiving for a Wisconsin deer hunting spouse is not the usual family event you see pictured above. When my family was young, we began a tradition of celebrating the holiday a week or so before the actual day, so we could … Continue reading
CAN VIRTUE LIVE IN THE 21ST CENTURY?

LET ME SHOW YOU SOME PHOTOS
When on vacation, I’ve become the self appointed photographer. We no longer carry those bulky, fancy cameras with special lenses. Now we opt for our cell phones. Who knew a tiny device like that could take good photos? Most … Continue reading
A WRINKLE IN TIME
My granddaughter, Kaeli and I love the movies. When I go to a movie with her, it doesn’t involve violence or war. She still likes watching things like “Peter Rabbit” or the gnomes. When I suggested that “A Wrinkle in … Continue reading
MIDWEEK AT THE GRANDPARENTS’
Mini-bird houses painted by our two daughters, granddaughter, oldest grandson and grandma and grandpa. This has been a delightful week in so many ways. Not only are we celebrating our Savior’s birthday, but we’ve been enjoying a long awaited visit … Continue reading
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MOM!
The beautiful woman in the photograph is my mom. She would’ve been 96 this year, but is now celebrating with the angels in heaven. She was my hero – a woman who loved to laugh – one who would do … Continue reading
FUNNY MEMORIES
As I unpacked those treasured ornaments from the past 53 years of marriage, memories began to pour into my head. There were the handmade pieces; the delicate globes decorated with the names of each in our family; the store bought … Continue reading
I’M A GREAT GRANDMOTHER?
As of yesterday, I am now the proud great grandmother of a baby. I don’t know if it’s a boy or a girl. I wasn’t there for the blessed event. My husband transported granddaughter and her new child home from … Continue reading
CARVE A PUMPKIN
Some days are simply do nothing days, but enjoy the season and the people you’re with. This week is teachers’ convention time in Minnesota, so for the past couple days, we’ve been doing just that. Yesterday our adventure took us … Continue reading
EMOTIONAL ROLLER COASTER
Yesterday was one of those days. I started by reading blogs of my friends and began to tear up. I hit upon one that set the floodgates into full throttle and it took me half the day to pull myself together. … Continue reading
IT’S ALL ABOUT HIM!
There are days when I wonder what on earth I’m still doing here. I spend hours trying to figure out some new technology when I could have completed three loads of laundry. I wake up early only to spend that … Continue reading
BACKYARD THEATER
I cannot even begin to comment on the above picture. I was born in 1942 and most of my childhood occurred during the 40s and 50s. We didn’t even have a television set until I turned ten. It was … Continue reading
MEMORIES
I came across this old photo of my sister and I cutting up, just for laughs, at my Aunt Muriel and Uncle Jake’s home in Wisconsin. It brought back so many memories of the fun times we shared, not only … Continue reading
DADDY
Neither of us was prepared for the birth of our first child. I think it takes a long time to fit into the title of parent and usually through years of challenges and exciting adventures. Who would’ve known the woman … Continue reading
MY PRAYER WARRIOR
The old, stained, cowboy hat is often seen on this gentle spirit’s head. Like the man wearing it, it’s been through many ups and downs, but he’s always managed to pray in all circumstances. We both know the power of prayer. However, … Continue reading
A NIGHT IN THE WAREHOUSE
My husband was forbidden to purchase a gun when he lived with his parents. Their reasoning made perfect sense. They had witnessed many gun shot deaths in their business. When Paul got out of the Air Force and was still … Continue reading
GREAT HUSBAND

SET DESIGNER MAN
Paul designed and painted this set for “Such a Time as This,” the story of Esther. When I was directing my children’s theater and wanted to be sure that the background for my actors enhanced their acting abilities, I called … Continue reading
