As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

THE CURSE OF THE CROSS
Many years ago, a group of our church members were putting the finishing touches on our newly built sanctuary. My husband had the honor of constructing the cross which would be placed at the front. It was made of railroad ties … Continue reading
39 lashes was the limit. More than that would have probably caused death. The object of lashing was to inflict severe pain and humiliation. It was part of the ritual of crucifixion – a means to cause the criminal … Continue reading
40 days had passed since his brutally crushed body was raised from death and He appeared to His followers. Some thought He was a ghost, others doubted it was Him. In that short span of time, He proved that … Continue reading
“O sing unto the LORD a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory.” HE IS RISEN, INDEED!
IN CHRIST ALONE
In Christ alone my hope is found,He is my light, my strength, my song;this Cornerstone, this solid Ground, firm through the fiercest drought and storm. What heights of love, what depths of peace, when fears are stilled, when strivings cease! My Comforter, my All … Continue reading
THE MOUNT OF OLIVES
It’s located just outside the city of Jerusalem. The garden below was a designated cemetery for the Jewish people. Many of them are buried there. My son seemed to find solace in that place. He spent much of his time … Continue reading
DO NOT BE AFRAID
Out of the depths of my transgression, my heart screams for relief. I grumble – I complain – I even blame God for my shortcomings. How dare I challenge the Creator of heaven and earth? Who do I think I … Continue reading
He was so much more

THEY FOLLOWED HIM
He was beginning to establish quite a following. There were a number of men who left their jobs and families behind just to be part of this work my son was starting. His cousin, John, had laid the groundwork by … Continue reading
