As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

BACK IN THE SADDLE
When we grow older, learning isa process that stays with us until our final breath is drawn. Yesterday I began another after school adventure with several. I decided to return to this for one more session, not only because I … Continue reading
BLOGGING
Those of us who strive to put out a daily blog may find it difficult to create something new and exciting. We search the internet for trending news, popular topics, current events and many of us go to the manual … Continue reading
MULTI-TASKING?
It has come to my attention that I no longer possess the ability to multi-task. Gone are the days when I could sew up to 50 costumes in a week, write a play or two, teach a class, plan meals … Continue reading
GOODBYE AUGUST
This was the view out my living room window on this day last year at our old, old house. The air is fresh and crisp today. Skies are clear and brilliant blue. Usually we don’t have much change in color until … Continue reading
TIME FOR ANOTHER GARAGE SALE
I love the cartoon, since my husband has often been referred to as Indiana Jones or Louisana Jones by some. Last year at this time we were holding a garage sale to downsize before moving into a smaller home. The well laid … Continue reading
BACKYARD THEATER
I cannot even begin to comment on the above picture. I was born in 1942 and most of my childhood occurred during the 40s and 50s. We didn’t even have a television set until I turned ten. It was … Continue reading
HAPPY SENIOR CITIZENS DAY
Today has been designated Senior Citizen Day. This forgotten element of our society is slowly growing into oblivion. The young folks have lost respect for the elderly, when they are really a mountain of information and deserving of attention. When I turned … Continue reading
MY PRAYER WARRIOR
The old, stained, cowboy hat is often seen on this gentle spirit’s head. Like the man wearing it, it’s been through many ups and downs, but he’s always managed to pray in all circumstances. We both know the power of prayer. However, … Continue reading
THIS ISN’T WORK
A couple weeks ago, I shared with you that I’m starting a new line of work. It isn’t a full time position. In fact, I’ll just be working at this particular facility once a month. I have to admit I … Continue reading
THE OLD GREY MARE…
I hope I look as dignified as this old, grey, mare. After a long rest, I’ve decided it’s time to get back in the saddle again. My last physical indicated that I’m in pretty good health for an old lady, … Continue reading
SIMPLE THINGS
“It is the sweet, simple things of life which are the real ones after all.” Laura Ingalls Wilder Yesterday, after a workout at the gym, (yes I’ve actually started doing this again) I stopped at the grocery store to pick … Continue reading
TALES FROM THE DARK SIDE
If only life were like a box of chocolates, but alas, I’ve been restricted – mostly self-inflicted – to a life of leafy greens, high protein and a lack of sugar. I’m not complaining, it’s just tough for an old … Continue reading
SNAP CHAT PIGGIES
For the last couple days, I’ve been spending some real quality time with my 14 year old granddaughter. She and her family will be gone on vacation for a while and it was her idea that we hang together this … Continue reading
QUIT YOUR BELLY ACHING
Woke up early yesterday morning with a bit of a tummy ache, which turned into a full fledged stomach flu of some sort. Believe me when I tell you, when you reach my age, a hangnail is cause for alarm. … Continue reading
REMEMBER WHEN?
I think every generation considers the “good old days” as their times growing up and as young adults. George Washington undoubtedly preferred remembering the days when he was cutting down cherry trees more than his time leading a fledgling country out of … Continue reading
TRANSITIONS
I’ve come to the conclusion that part of God’s wrath came down specifically on women in the form of hormonal imbalance. There are some changes as men age, but women get the brunt of it. In the teen years, our … Continue reading
L’CHAIM
Today I’m blessed to have survived 75 years of life. As many of you know, I am at an age where many of my friends are already in heaven or are facing the near possibility. For some reason, God has … Continue reading
CHOICES
“We are not living in a world where all roads are radii of a circle and where all, if followed long enough, will therefore draw gradually nearer and finally meet at the centre: rather in a world where every road, … Continue reading
ROAD WARRIORS FINI
We recently hit the road with great intentions of seeing wonderful sights and visiting with special people. There are also the moments you never forget. The final leg of the journey returning home, often turns into a quest no matter how much … Continue reading
REUNITED
We’ve been spending the last two days with my wonderful sister and her husband. They’re both 5 years younger than us and their youthful spirit is much like the first couple in the above cartoon. I am represented by the … Continue reading
