As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

RESTORATION
There are some reality shows on TV that deal with restoring old things into their former state. As you walk through a neighborhood of restored Victorian homes, it’s easy to imagine the kind of lives the residents lived. You may have … Continue reading
RANDOM THOUGHTS OF SUMMER
Original art by Paul T. Boecher© On these particularly cold, winter mornings of below zero temps and frosted window panes, it’s nice to look back at the beauty of emerald grasses, wildflowers and brilliant blue, clear water. I am blessed … Continue reading
RANDOM THOUGHT – POWER
Original art by Paul T. Boecher© A water wheel converts the energy of free-flowing or falling water into useful forms of energy. God’s love pours out on us giving us power beyond imagination.
NOTHING HAPPENS BY CHANCE
As we wind down another year, our natural tendency is to look back at the mistakes we made – the goals we missed – the lost opportunities – the habits we didn’t break. We look forward to a clean slate and … Continue reading
RANDOM THOUGHT
Original art by Paul T. Boecher © Soon this leaf cluttered green turned to the white of winter, bringing the solace of an icy, glimmering peace. We live life fully in the spring and rage through the heat of summer. Each season has its … Continue reading
A MASK CAN’T HIDE YOU
Is life just a moment when we pass through time – when our hopes and dreams lead to amazing adventures or fall by the wayside and get trampled deep into the ground? Are we placed here for a purpose, … Continue reading
YOU ARE SPECIAL
If you feel that your role in life isn’t important – if you struggle daily with thoughts of failure – if you believe that whatever you do, it isn’t going to be enough – it’s time to put your confidence in … Continue reading
LESSONS FROM THE PAST
My generation tends to forget that our lives weren’t perfect. I think we paint a picture of perfection like a Norman Rockwell view of American life. We hide the bad stuff and look only at the things that made our age great. I never … Continue reading
THE OLD HOUSEBOAT
ART WORK BY PAUL BOECHER© The old houseboat still maintained a look of elegance even though paint was chipped and faded – the bough battered slightly from constant pushing against shore, She sat quietly moored under the wispy trees which … Continue reading
SUMMER GLORY
ART WORK BY PAUL BOECHER© The edge of a bluff lined river – a glassy reflection glistens and bounces onto a hill. The light touches the edges of trees and buildings in the distance, creating patterns dancing from one place to another . The deep crevices fill … Continue reading
I AM JESUS LITTLE LAMB
To most of us, sheep don’t seem especially bright. In fact they move in herds, because if left alone they’ll surely stray and walk straight into a dangerous situation. We are often led as sheep to the slaughter by those who would deceive … Continue reading
THE WEEKEND – AT LAST
Well, you’ve made it through another week. You may not have accomplished everything on your plate, but you came through reasonably unscathed. Now it’s time for some rest and relaxation, but before that take a moment to thank God for … Continue reading
ETERNITY
Life is but a span of years – some die young, others live to a hundred. Even a century is nothing in the eyes of God. His timeline is eternal. There is no end with Him. He is the beginning … Continue reading
WORK, LABOR, JOB, EMPLOYMENT, TASKS, ETC., ETC., ETC.
“The world is full of willing people, some willing to work, the rest willing to let them.” Robert Frost Many of the railroads in our country were cut through mountain sides and across wide rivers with simple tools, dynamite and many … Continue reading
ALL I NEED IS YOU!
It’s hard for us to understand someone who keeps on giving, without expecting something in return. We have grown accustomed to a selfish, me-motivated world. Unfortunately as soon as we leave God out of the equation, we fail to come … Continue reading
Funny Friday
This has been a week of disturbing news. It’s time for a little humor. I believe a good belly laugh can do wonders for a sagging spirit. We can’t let all this gloom and doom drag us down. My life … Continue reading
SING PRAISE TO THE LORD
Psalm 150:6 “Let everything that has life and breath praise the Lord!” Our worship sometimes take a vacation along with us in the summer. We get so wrapped up in the concept of rest during … Continue reading
My prayer for your coming week.
Life can be but a mere whisper or it can be a consuming fire. The way we approach it will define who we are and where we’re going. If we go through life without any focus, If we don’t set … Continue reading
WE ARE ALL BLESSED
As another week draws to a close, I find that I haven’t completed all the mundane tasks on my to-do list. In fact I haven’t even written a to-do list. It seems that something always gets in the way of … Continue reading
ODE TO TEETH
We come into this world without them. It takes a few years before they appear. They get pushed and nudged out by new ones. A few become unrecognizable and begin to disintegrate into oblivion. As time goes on they disappear into nonexistence. … Continue reading
