As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

MAUDLIN MONDAY
The image of Emmett Kelly is what I remember most about the circus clowns of the old days. Emmett expressed the epitome of maudlin. Maudlin describes itself as self-pity, over sentimental and often tearful. Later in my life, clowns took … Continue reading
INTO EACH LIFE SOME RAIN WILL FALL
The sound of gently falling rain upon a tin roof can be irritating or restful depending on your state of mind. A drenching upon the dry soil can be a welcome relief or it can flood things freshly planted and … Continue reading
BE MY ANCHOR, LORD
I’ve purposefully been avoiding the news, but turn it on occasionally when I need a weather update. I did so yesterday and my avoidance of the ugliness in this world woke me to a striking reminder of the state of … Continue reading

We’re in a time in history when fear is probably our greatest enemy. The pandemic has placed most everyone in a bubble – in more ways than one. We fear being isolated from others. We fear getting a disease which … Continue reading
DISABLED BY OUR FEARS
The simplicity of Yoda’s words should be made into a plaque and hung in a conspicuous place in our homes. Fear has the ability to disable – to cripple – and crush us, if we let it. I’ve gotten hooked … Continue reading

TOMORROW IS ANOTHER DAY. .
“Yesterday was plain awful.” as Little Orphan Annie once said. It sometimes feels that way, but some days really are worse than others. We wake up with positive thoughts, which are suddenly cut short by bad news. We go through … Continue reading
FORGET ABOUT IT!
Fear is mentioned many times in the Bible. The phrase, “Do not be afraid” was spoken, when God’s angels announced the birth of the Savior to shepherds. The Psalms are loaded with references to fear in King David’s prayers. The … Continue reading
6-8 INCHES OF NEW FALLEN SNOW – BLEH!
I guess we should have expected it. Last week’s little dusting of snowflakes was just a foreshadowing of what was to come. Yesterday, the white stuff, which we refer to in Minnesota as that horrible four letter word, starting falling … Continue reading

WHAT GOES AROUND, COMES AROUND
Times haven’t really changed much in the world’s short existence. Since the fall of man there has been a love of self that far surpasses a love for God. We are a selfish people. Not only that, we don’t like … Continue reading

There’s no doubt about it. We live in a crummy world. We can choose to make a difference, to change things, to sit around and fret about it, to hide ourselves from it or we can rid ourselves of the … Continue reading

I DARED TO SHOP
We were down to the last leaf of lettuce, no juice, and getting low on canned goods and meat. The stores in my neck of the woods have been open for seniors from 6-7AM each day, so we ventured out … Continue reading
