As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

I came across this old photo of my sister and I cutting up, just for laughs, at my Aunt Muriel and Uncle Jake’s home in Wisconsin. It brought back so many memories of the fun times we shared, not only … Continue reading
NATIONAL S’MORES DAY
There seems to be a holiday for just about everything these days. This is one you can really sink your teeth into. Trouble is, if you wear dentures, your teeth may come out with the first bite. The entrepreneur Alec … Continue reading
WHERE’S THE PATIENT?

MY OUTDOORSMAN
My husband has many traits. He is intelligent in many areas of life. He knows how to survive in the wilderness. He should’ve been born two centuries ago, because is filled with the spirit of adventure required to have lived then. He … Continue reading
TALES FROM THE DARK SIDE
If only life were like a box of chocolates, but alas, I’ve been restricted – mostly self-inflicted – to a life of leafy greens, high protein and a lack of sugar. I’m not complaining, it’s just tough for an old … Continue reading
INVASION
Yesterday we experienced some torrential rain – enough so to push several inhabitants out of their homes and into ours. “Consider the ant,” says Proverbs 6:6. In that little passage we read how the sluggard – or the lazy one – … Continue reading
LAUGHTER AROUND THE TABLE
When my sister comes to town, it’s a special time. This is our second visit in less than a month and I’m relishing every second of it. Yesterday was spent with our son and his lady, and youngest daughter and … Continue reading
HUNGRY GOATS
Recently, my home state of Minnesota decided they would try to control invasive plants which are killing the good ones. Where does one go to retain a group of goats? I suppose they call UNEEDA GOAT or some other rent … Continue reading
HAIRBALL AWARENESS DAY
Who would’ve thought there’d be a day reserved for this? I happen to own a dog who thinks he’s a cat. He has many characteristics, like preening himself, curling up in a tight ball, being a loner and occasionally coughs … Continue reading

MY BASEMENT IS A DUNGEON
(This is not actually our basement, but looks sort of like it.) We moved from the city last fall, into a farm house which was originally built in 1875. This little treasure was almost completely destroyed during the tornado of … Continue reading
MY SON
Today is my son’s birthday. He’s now 49, which is impossible to believe, since I’m 49. How did that happen? In this picture, you can see that I have raised a comedian. He is definitely a part of our family … Continue reading
NUTS TO YOU
ORIGINALLY POSTED ON ATIMETOSHARE.ME 3/28/14 Spring has sprung. Birds are again singing their little hearts out. The squirrels are very active and I’m reminded of a time about 40 years ago when one particular squirrel was raiding the bird feeder … Continue reading
