As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

THROUGH THE STORMS OF LIFE
Some folks think that becoming a Christian means gaining complete freedom from all our troubles. Not true. In fact, God never promised any of us a rose garden. Well, He gave us a perfect garden, but that was quickly lost … Continue reading
LIVING WITHIN A BUBBLE
Do you ever feel like you’re living in a bubble – a vacuum – and encased shelter that was designed to keep all the evil from ever getting to you? Over the past couple years, we’ve been forced into … Continue reading
TOMORROW IS ANOTHER DAY. .
“Yesterday was plain awful.” as Little Orphan Annie once said. It sometimes feels that way, but some days really are worse than others. We wake up with positive thoughts, which are suddenly cut short by bad news. We go through … Continue reading
IN GOD ALONE
This is a rerun, but seems appropriate this year as well as the same time last year. However it was pre-pandemic and oh how things have changed – or have they? Originally posted 9/25/2019. We, the people, have been bombarded … Continue reading
GOD FILLS ME UP
“Memories light the corners of my mind; misty water colored memories of the way we were.” The words to this Barbara Streisand song tell a very true story. We all have wonderful memories that we keep tucked in the recesses … Continue reading
A WOMAN OF CHARACTER
As women who follow the Word of God, we have the power to overcome obstacles unknown. We have a life partner in Jesus, Christ, who with the Father and Holy Spirit, knit us together in our mother’s womb. The … Continue reading
HOPE FOR THE HOPELESS
I’ve always believed in God. I’ve known since an early age that I would some day go to heaven, but at the time I had no plans on doing so. It wasn’t brainwashed into me. I had plenty of questions … Continue reading
IDOLS?
Yesterday was Groundhog day, in case you didn’t know. Every year we look forward to the end of winter and look to a chubby little woodchuck to determine whether we will have an early spring. At the same time, Bill … Continue reading
ACUMEN
Searching for wisdom is as old as time itself. Ever since man fell into Satan’s arms, there is a need to prove ourselves. A word like acumen isn’t used much today in regard to wisdom. It is more akin to … Continue reading
SUNDAY SILENCE
It’s Sunday and the temp is well below zero. Even the dog was hesitant to go outside, but he gave in to nature’s call. As I waited for him in the cold silence, I took a minute to soak it … Continue reading
THE SIMPLE TRUTH
The simplicity of the Gospel often boggles the mind. We are expected to believe something extraordinary – inconceivable – impossible. We delude ourselves into thinking there has to be more to it than just a childlike faith, but the truth … Continue reading
COURAGE UNLEASHED
Yesterday morning we awoke to the news that missing 13 year old, Jayme Closs, had been found alive. For three months prior to this, people in the community of Barron, Wisconsin had been searching for the child who had obviously … Continue reading
THE AUTHOR OF OUR DESTINY
A writer knows that every story consists of a beginning, a middle and an end. There’s conflict throughout as the protagonist tries to overcome the antagonist to reach his goal. In the midst of the story are various characters, who … Continue reading
THE INNER VOICES
All you want is relief, but pain is usually just a signal that something needs attention. If your muscles are sore, you rest. If your energy level is low, you eat better. If your heart is aching over a lost love … Continue reading
MY PRAYER FOR TODAY
Each day is a new beginning, Lord, and still I often feel things are out of control. I’ve been praying for the same thing for so long and don’t get answers. Maybe I’ve received them, but they aren’t yet clear. … Continue reading

SOME OF THE MANY FACES OF KATHY IN PERFORMANCE OVER THE YEARS. We all have many faces in this world. For me, I’m a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, teacher, writer, actress, clown, encourager, and a lots more. We often don’t … Continue reading
IT’S ALL ABOUT HIM!
There are days when I wonder what on earth I’m still doing here. I spend hours trying to figure out some new technology when I could have completed three loads of laundry. I wake up early only to spend that … Continue reading
IT IS WHAT IT IS
The first time I heard this phrase, it made me wonder why. Why do we need to accept everything as it is? Why have we become so tolerant to all kinds of behavior, that we simply must accept that it … Continue reading
SO LONG AGO
A dream was hatched by a man, A dream which allowed him to see the future, Which gave him a glimpse of black and white co-existing, Without complication, Without hatred, Without malice, It was a dream which God gave to … Continue reading

We are living in terrifying times. The possibilities of nuclear disaster has become a political chess game. The rhetoric of our government and the lives of our citizens are being threatened by a health care plan that has turned into a … Continue reading
