As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

There are so many classic lines in the movie, “Monty Python’s In Search of the Holy Grail,” like the one shown above. The movie consists mainly of gallows humor, but for some strange reason, I find it funny. The fear … Continue reading

NEVER GIVE UP
We all experience our own hell as we walk through life. Some days are worse than others – some are completely free of it – while others seem to hold absolutely no relief. Winston Churchill spoke these words when in … Continue reading

WHERE’S YOUR STRENGTH
One of my favorite sources of comfort when I’m fearful or anxious is Psalm 91. These beautiful words have been converted into exquisite poetry and hymns throughout the centuries. The picturesque language shows just exactly how much our God protects … Continue reading
HOLD TIGHT
I love old Christmas movies. They stir up all kinds of wonderful feelings and memories. One special one that comes to mind is “A Christmas Story.” I think it really hits home because it takes place in the town where … Continue reading
WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO BE A WINNER?
I grew up and spent the early years of my adult life in Wisconsin, so I guess I’m a dyed in the wool Packer fan. That is unless the Minnesota Vikings happen to win. I was around when Vince Lombardi … Continue reading
HOW DO YOU PACK THIS?
ORIGINAL ART BY PAUL BOECHER – Wood sculpture titled “A Little Off the Top.” There’s a lot to be said about the baggage we carry. We sometimes wonder why we accumulate so many things during the years. As I get closer in the … Continue reading
GET ME OUT OF THIS!
Some days, I just want to scream and holler at God. I want immediate answers to my prayers. I pray that life would go smoother. The nagging voice of the devil uses this weakness to tempt me into simply giving up. I seem … Continue reading

GOD’S GIFT TO US
Yesterday I celebrated my 74th birthday. As my lifetime now enters almost 3/4 of a century, I can’t help but ponder what’s happened during that time. I’ve seen so many changes in technology, education, wars, moral decline, political corruption, exploration of distant planets and … Continue reading
AND SO IT BEGINS …
40 days without nourishment – living in a vast emptiness – alone, weary, hungry, weak, easy prey for the adversary. Jesus was about to begin His ministry as the Holy Spirit led Him into the wilderness to be tempted by the … Continue reading
MY GUARDIAN ANGEL
I have a pretty good picture of what my guardian angel looks like. He probably started out as naïve and innocent as I appeared to be when I first appeared in this world. Over the years, he’s become scarred, bumped, … Continue reading
HANG IN THERE
Each day we hear of horrible acts of violence in other parts of the world and on our own city streets. I often wonder what’s going on – what’s happening to our morality – respect for life and for those who … Continue reading

HOW DO WE FIGHT EVIL?
Lately with all the ugliness of this world, I’ve been feeling so helpless and useless. Our planet is slowing becoming polluted with evil and it’s hard not to become proactive. We can easily fall into a pit of desperation if we let … Continue reading
