As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

THROW BACK THURSDAY – CONTRITION
The word contrition comes from the Latin word, meaning to crush. What a vivid description of how we should come to the Lord with our burdens. We should be crushed by the weight. Even the smallest of our wrongdoings are … Continue reading
PRAYERS FOR UKRAINE
I cannot begin to imagine what the Ukrainians are dealing with in their country. The United States seems oblivious to the wars that rage around us and seem eager to send money and arms, but not really providing any kind … Continue reading
SIT & WAIT
Back in 2014, I wrote a musical play based on the story of Esther from the Bible. This beautiful book reads like a fairy tale, where a lovely young woman is chosen to sit beside the ruler of the most … Continue reading
SNAKES IN THE BASEMENT
My husband grew up in a home that also housed the family business – a funeral home. There were the usual jokes throughout his childhood about people dying to get in there. There were an abundance of stories that would … Continue reading
END OF ANOTHER WEEK
Lord, Your name is above all others. Your kingdom includes me and all who believe in You. I honor you and stand in awe of your holiness. I don’t deserve to be in Your presence. You say a word and Your … Continue reading
I’M BACK
I’ve been gone for three weeks now. I was on a vacation of sorts. I think we all need a time out once in a while to regroup – to restore – to regenerate. In that time, I’ve been sorting … Continue reading
GREY SKIES ARE GONNA CLEAR UP . . .
ART & POETRY BY PAUL & KATHY BOECHER Some days seem all out of focus, the clouds turn our vision dim. God’s masterful plan seems hidden, doubt colors the shades so grim, We lose control and we wonder if relief … Continue reading
WARM DAYS OF SUMMER
ART & POETRY BY PAUL & KATHY BOECHER© Days of endless winter capture the hearts and minds of many in my part of the country. All that remains are memories of a warm summer day as the sun beats relentlessly … Continue reading
THE POWER OF CHRIST
I don’t know why God allows some of us to go on living for so many years and others are taken at an early age. It is one of those mysteries that don’t make sense to me. I do know … Continue reading
HOW DID YOUR DAY START?
Yesterday was a lovely day. I made it through the first day of my 78th year on earth – received many good wishes – spent time with my granddaughter and topped it off with a visit with a dear friend … Continue reading
EGG DROP CHALLENGE
Almost everyone has heard of the “egg drop experiment. This simple test allows the student to construct a container that protects a raw egg from cracking as it’s dropped from a certain height. What is the actual purpose of this? … Continue reading
PRAISE THE LORD, OH MY SOUL
Today as we face the week ahead, let us remember that new life comes from the Lord, God, Almighty. Nothing we can do will change that. With Him at our side, we can do great things. With Him as our … Continue reading
HANG IN THERE!
We all experience persecution in some way or another, especially if we’re Christians. We’re often called upon to defend our beliefs to those who haven’t experienced the joy and hope which God’s truth provides. We squirm and take any negative comment to … Continue reading
REUNITED
Our television screens have been filled with images of heroes this week. What a change. Only a short time ago, demonstrators filled the streets – violence was the fare of the day – hatred and bigotry scarred young minds and old. Now we see … Continue reading

HEY, AIRMAN!
My mother always said, there was nothing more handsome than a man in uniform. I find that amusing, since her husband never served in the military and never wore any kind of uniform. When my man decided to fill his … Continue reading

CARRY ON
We often underestimate our own personal worth. If we’re able to breathe and move, we have value. If we wake up each day with a sense of purpose; if we take time to listen; if we lift others up with … Continue reading
