As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

AMERICA IS BROKEN
I’d decided not to write a politically based post today, but I happened on this one from a year ago today. It struck me that things haven’t changed much in that time, so maybe it’s important for me to add my … Continue reading
THE GOLDEN RULE?
I have turned off the TV this morning – I refuse to read the headlines on the internet – I am going back to bed and bury my head in the sand. NO I’M NOT! This world is out of control. … Continue reading
LAMP BESIDE THE GOLDEN DOOR
When I visited New York several years ago, there were cows everywhere. I ‘m not referring to herds of them running through the streets. Artists had painted these whimsical creatures to highlight some of the landmarks. My sister and I took photos standing in front of them, (before … Continue reading
WE, THE PEOPLE …
Soon it will be time to get out the fireworks, set your lawn chair alongside the road and wait for the parade to pass by, to cheer and celebrate, but how many of us really know the reason we are … Continue reading
HOW LONG?
“Series of deadly explosions tear through crowds at Atatürk international airport on Tuesday.” Headline from this morning’s news. It’s becoming a weekly state of affairs. An explosive group of radicals is reeking havoc across the globe and people die needlessly as we … Continue reading
GOD’S GIFT TO US
Yesterday I celebrated my 74th birthday. As my lifetime now enters almost 3/4 of a century, I can’t help but ponder what’s happened during that time. I’ve seen so many changes in technology, education, wars, moral decline, political corruption, exploration of distant planets and … Continue reading

KATHY RANT
There are times when Maxine has wisdom beyond her years. Good heavens, did I really say that? I must be about the same age so I guess I’m allowed to express my opinion occasionally. Lately I’ve found myself sitting down … Continue reading
HOLD ME TIGHT
Each day of our lives has already been planned according to a divine plan – God has it all figured out – He’s got our back – He’s got our future in the palm of His hand. We naturally want … Continue reading
THE FORCE
A long time ago, in a galaxy far away . . . someone is taking the message of peace all the way to the bank. Isn’t it interesting how the battle between good and evil continues to exist? What’s even more … Continue reading
RANDOM THOUGHT
FDR said in his inaugural address, “We have nothing to fear, but fear itself.” I believe that fear is simply a wound. If we allow it to fester it can kills us. If we consider its source we can overcome it with … Continue reading
HANG IN THERE
Each day we hear of horrible acts of violence in other parts of the world and on our own city streets. I often wonder what’s going on – what’s happening to our morality – respect for life and for those who … Continue reading
A HERO DOESN’T KNOW HE IS ONE
As we celebrate another Veterans Day, we take time to look up to those who have given a portion of their lives to serve their country. We’ll hear inspiring words concerning their unselfish and heroic deeds. Many of them will … Continue reading
BOUND FOR A NEW WORLD
There were 102 on board the small sailing vessel. Half of them, tired of the corruption in the Church of England, bound for a new life where they could worship as they pleased; half eager to invest time and … Continue reading
THIS DAY IN 1492
Today you don’t hear much about Christopher Columbus other than it being another time for retailers to draw in business. This explorer, like many before and since, have had their life’s work corrupted over time. In 1492, much of … Continue reading
YIKES! ANOTHER KATHY RANT
The internet is amazing tool. You can find information in the blink of an eye. You can spend hours absorbing information and drawing your own conclusions . It also has a dark side – when a news item can be blown … Continue reading
HEAL OUR LAND – HEAL US!
Over the past weekend, I thought about what it took to establish this great nation. Within its short history, we’ve seen a steady decline in morality, a lack of trust in God and a change in attitudes towards a government that was built through … Continue reading
